The fashion industry doesn't see the number of degrees one has in fashion. The recent proof of this fact is the success of the new fashion designer Vijay Balhara. Vijay Balhara started as a model and then found his interests shifting towards designing. Good for us. We get to see some splendid designs by this young, fresh designer.
Lakme India Fashion week saw Vijay Balhara showcasing his artistic collection titled Borala Nautch' portraying the cultural style of rural India. The designer collection was greatly admired by everyone. Apart from the esteemed Lakme fashion week, Vijay has participated in various fashion events like Mogra, Amara, Aza etc. he has various television shows to his credit too. Some of them include Sony Pix's gateway, Director's cut, Page 3 extreme and Maximum style.
You know you are watching a Vijay Balhara collection when you see the colorful prints combined with simplicity in the most exquisite way. There are stunning pieces clad with embroidery, block prints and sequins. His bridal collection titled Bridal Renaissance' which was showcased in the Lakme fashion week Winter/festive 2010 depicted a certain amount of boldness which he believed portrayed the Indian bride who is modern yet traditional.
Fashion designer Vijay Balhara believes fashion to be the most glamorous and beautiful of all art forms. According to him designing is something that helps him portray the world as he sees it and he tries to bring some more beauty to the world with his each and every collection. His work mostly focuses on bringing out the classic rural elements and revamping them to suit the modern fashion trends.
One can easily spot the Indian elements in the basis of every Vijay Balhara collection. He always aims to reflect the Indian appeal in every piece he designs. It is rather surprising that a fashion designer who initiated his career with a very westernized collection and even got tremendo us praise for it, shifted to showcasing the Indian heritage. But as the fashion designer Vijay Balhara himself explained that he acquired this big fascination for the Indian ethnic elements that he just couldn't keep away from them.
