Your Business On Google - What Are Backlinks And How Do They Help In Local Business Online Marketing

Your Business On Google - What Are Backlinks And How Do They Help In Local Business Online Marketing Do you want your website to rise to the top of the search engines? Well I think that is something that we all want isn't it? There are a lot of ways to do this but one of the best ways is to build good backlinks to your site. Now you might not know what backlinks are so let me explain. Well I am glad you asked because today I am going to tell you exactly that!

Backlinks are nothing more thaninbound links to a particular site. What I mean is that they are a link to your site from someone else's site. The number of people who link to you is considered very important by the search engines. Search engines in general are looking for fresh relevant content.

When they see that lots of other sites found your site important enough to link to, they figure you must be fresh and relevant.

Backlinks not only give your site relevancy in the eyes of the search engine, but in addition they give your site one more avenue to find visitors. The sites that link to you are a portal so to speak sending traffic your way through the link. The more of these you have out there obviously the more traffic you can expect.

So what do you do if you are a brand new site and no one is knocking down your door to backlink you. Well this is very common and luckily there is an answer. Sites like Squidoo and HubPages are places that you can make easy to build content sites of information that backlink to your website.

With these sites you can put up a little information and a link to your site. You have made two things happen at once. You have created, yet another place on the web people can find info about your product or service and you have established a backlink.

Using backlinks used to be the only means of going from site to site on the net prior to search engines. When we couldn't search all we could do was "surf" from one site to the next based on the links they gave us. Now backlinks are used mainly forsearch engine optimization. You can use backlinks to drive traffic to your site and also to allow the search engines like Google to rank you higher than your competition. This technique will help you get to number one on Google.

GreenSmoke Electronic Cigarette Review

The GreenSmoke electronic cigarette is quickly becoming a favorite among "vaping" enthusiasts and for good reason: It has distinct design differences that give the user the most realistic and satisfying smoking experience ... and without the hassles typically associated with other ecigarette models.

Most companies are selling electronic cigarettes in a 3-piece design:

1. Battery

2. Atomizer

3. Nicotine cartridge

The Green Smoke design consists of only 2 pieces:

1. Battery

2. Atomizer & cartridge combined

Why does this make such a HUGE difference?

With the 3-piece design the atomizer gets used over and over. This leads to a dirty, clogged atomizer that becomes much less efficient over time. A clean atomizer is essential for getting maximum vapor volume. The more quality vapor you can get with each draw is very important for a satisfying and realistic "smoking" experience. Reusable atomizer found in 3-piece designs need to be replaced frequently... a hidden cost not mentioned in the sales material. Some products even have the additional headache of having to drop liquid nicotine solution into the filter.

The 2-piece design as found in the GreenSmoke model eliminates the problems associated with the reusable atomizer. Because the atomizer is built into the nicotine cartridge, you get a fresh atomizer every time you change cartridges (one cartridge is about the equivalent of 20-30 tobacco cigarettes). This is why Green Smoke has the highest smoke volume industry. No other models even come close.

It's very common for many people to initially try a cheap 3-piece design only to be disappointed. These are the same people that go on to say electronic smoking doesn't work well. It's worth it to spend a few extra dollars and get a 2-piece design that you will be happy with.

Not all e-cigarettes are created equal. It's important to educate yourself on the differences so you don't end up going through a lot of unnecessary (and expensive) trial and error. GreenSmoke offers a technologically advanced device that will give you the most realistic and satisfying smoking experience in the industry. The highest smoke volume, convenience of use, reliability, cleanliness and an extended battery life all add up to make GreenSmoke a wise electronic cigarette choice.

Living ?off Grid? ? Part 1

Living Off Grid Part 1

Living off grid means you are not connected to a utility company power line, the electrical grid. You must produce your own electrical power to meet your needs. This can be a challenging and rewarding experience!

The average cost of extending power lines is approximately $80,000 per mile. Check with the nearest utility to determine what your costs might be. Generally speaking, if you are more than 1/4 mile from the utility line, you can install a renewable energy (RE) system to produce your power at less cost than extending the power line.

While you wont have electric bills with an RE system, there are periodic maintenance costs and costs for alternative fuels such as propane.

Conservation:

First, invest in conservation measures to reduce the amount of energy you need. See our Conservation Checklist and implement its suggestions aggressively. Reducing your energy needs can greatly reduce the cost of any RE system you install.

Space heating and cooling:

Space heating and cooling account for approximately 50% of annual energy use. Reduce your energy needs for heating and cooling by using passive solar design principles. Passive solar design can reduce heating and cooling needs by up to 90%.

Further reduce energy needs by super-insulating doubling the insulation levels recommended by building codes. Earth berming, building into a south facing hillside or berming earth up on the north, west, and east sides of structures, further reduces heating and cooling energy needs. We can provide plans review or refer you to certified building designers experienced in passive solar design.

Back up space heating should be accomplished with either wood or propane. It is impractical to heat with an electric furnace, or heat pump, powered by an RE system. They require too much electricity. Back up cooling, if required, should be done with an evaporative cooler (swamp cooler) with an electric

fan motor. An air conditioner is too large an electrical load to power with an RE system.

Water heating:

Water heating is the next greatest energy need, approximately 20% of annual energy use. In an off grid home this is usually provided by an on-demand propane water heater, or propane hot water tank. If you are planning to use an on-demand propane water heater, insure it is a model designed to work with solar preheated water. Many on-demand systems will not work correctly with preheated water.

A solar hot water heater can provide the majority of your hot water and significantly reduce propane costs for water heating. For off grid homes, we recommend a closed loop solar hot water collector which circulates a glycol solution (freeze protected) using a separate small solar panel powered circulating pump. The glycol solution is pumped through a heat exchanger attached to a standard hot water tank.

This system does not require any power from the household RE system. Solar heating provides most of the hot water, backed up by an on-demand propane water heater or propane hot water tank.

Water pumping:

For an off grid home, pumping water from a well and powering a pressure tank are the next greatest energy loads. Standard well pumps are usually 240 volt AC. Before allowing your well driller to install a standard pump, consider if a DC powered or 120 volt AC pump will do. Inform the well driller that the pump will have to be run with a small generator. This will help him select a pump that will work well with your RE system.

Most RE systems produce DC power, which must be inverted to AC power. This conversion results in a 5% to 10% energy loss. A DC powered pump avoids this loss. Most RE systems produce 120 volt AC power and must use a 120/240 transformer or second inverter to power a 240 volt AC well pump. This transformer consumes a small amount of power, but can be switched off when not in use.

A second inverter can be costly. Many water pumps require a very large surge of power to start. This can be difficult or impossible to do with some RE systems. Ask your well driller for a pump that has a low starting surge, such as a Grundfos SQ pump.

The ideal situation is to have a DC powered pump that pumps water to a storage tank, which then feeds water to the home by gravity, avoiding the need for an electrically powered pressure tank. Every foot of fall from the tank provides .433 psi of water pressure, so the storage tank should be 50 feet or more above the home to provide reasonable water pressure.

Brazil Flag - 5 Facts You Didn't Know - Travel - Destinations

When the Brazil flag comes to mind, the colours of green and yellow are what you think of but you will find some details you might not have heard before. The Brazilian flag has had several face lifts and several rejected styles, but we are able to all agree that it really is one of the most recognizable flags of Brazil's history.

The Dates - The latest Brazilian flag was first flown for all to find out on November 19, 1889, which has been known as Flag Day ever since that date. This layout was adjusted when six stars had been added on May 12, 1992, but aside from that the current design and style has been precisely the same for more than 120 years.

The Designers - The design and style for the Brazilian flag was constructed by Raimundo Teixeira Mendes with the support of Decio Villares, Miguel Lemos and Manuel Pereira Reis. With each other, they preserved the green and yellow design to respect the Braganza-Hansberg Dynasty. The prior coat of arms was replaced with all the star splattered blue orb. Each of the 27 stars on the flag was specifically placed to represent each state.

The Design and style - The flag of Brazil consists with the main green back drop with a yellow diamond on its side in the center using a star speckled blue globe in the center of that. The arc shaped banner above the globe has the inscription "Ordem e Progresso" which means "Order and Progress" when translated and is meant to represent the Equator.

The Stars on the Flag - On the blue globe there are geographically placed stars, indicating the celestial positioning with the sky on the morning of November 15th, 1889. The 27 stars in the blue globe had been placed there to recognize the one Federal District and each of the 26 states of Brazil. Throughout the design in the flag 'The Southern Cross' constellation was situated over the Meridian of Rio de Janeiro. In addition to several other constellations which includes Canis Key, Hydra, Triangulum Australe, Scopius and three singular stars of Procyon, Canopus, Spica and Sigma Octangtis (South Pole Star), these stars completed the design and look of the Brazilian flag.

Some Former Flags - The Colonial Brazilian flag (1500 - 1816) was a white flag which had a gold armillary (gyroscope) globe, the signet of King Manuel I. The Kingdom of Brazil flag (1816 - 1822) was a blue flag which had a gold armillary globe. The Empire of Brazil flag (1822 - 1889) has the green background and yellow horizontal diamond but with the Portuguese coat of arms inside the center as an alternative to the blue ball. The yellow and green was a representation from the union of King Pedro I of Portugal Austrian Empress Marie Leopoldina. There were 19 flags before the current one however the one preceding the existing design was only flown for four days, November 15th, 1889 - November 19th, 1889, using a green, yellow and blue star spangled banner design and style with 17 stars.

Energy-Efficient Outdoor Lighting

We all feel safer and better able to move about after dark if good outdoor lighting is provided along streets, sidewalks and bike paths, as well as in parking lots, parks, shopping centers, campuses, community facilities and even our own back yards. And though such outdoor lighting is estimated to cost no more than about 2% of our total annual electric bill as a nation, it still consumes trillions of dollars each year. The use of energy-efficient outdoor lighting holds the promise of paring away at our collective energy bills, leaving a few of those trillions of dollars in our pockets. And everything we save in electricity not used, we also likely save in diminished impact on our natural resource reserves and our environment.

The most common types of energy-efficient outdoor light fixtures seen throughout the U.S. today are either solar fixtures, or LED (light-emitting diode) fixtures, or sometimes a combination of both. Over the past several decades, LEDs have undergone explosive growth in supplying the sign-making industry, and in use in traffic signals. Driving this growth are LEDs low energy consumption (and thus low operating cost) and low heat generation (and thus longer service life and lower maintenance cost). As the color range and color quality of LEDs improve, and their costs continue to drop, they become stronger competitors to more traditional light sources, such as incandescent bulbs, fluorescent and neon tubes, and high-intensity discharge (HID) mercury or sodium lamps.

As a result, LED lighting has garnered many fans not only LED manufacturers, but also light fixture makers, sign makers, building owners, municipalities, lighting maintenance workers, utility companies and the U. S. Department of Energy. But no matter what particular lamp technology, power source, fixture type or lighting hardware is used in outdoor lighting, its overall energy-efficiency will result from a precise match of the lighting design to the lighting needs.

Outdoor lighting must meet a variety of needs. First, it must enable users to effectively function in outdoor spaces. Thus, drivers must be able to clearly see roadways, surrounding traffic, pedestrians and hazards. Players on a rec department tennis court must be able to see the ball. Shoppers must be able to find their car, while knowing no one is lurking nearby. Second, outdoor lighting must assist other elements of the built environment buildings, walkways, landscaping, signs in inviting or directing people. Brightly-lit plazas will invite pedestrians, while service alleys with subdued and workmanlike lighting will not. Third, through such features as the color and intensity of light, fixture type, orientation, spacing, and placement, outdoor lighting must add to our aesthetic perception of and reaction to our environment. Lighting that plays across the water of a civic fountain will therefore be inherently different from lighting that sets the mood at an outdoor res taurant patio.

However, too much lighting is clearly not a good thing. Many portions of the country are now plagued by light pollution. Not just mere backyard stargazers, but also research scientists at major observatories, often have difficulty seeing anything worthwhile among the stars because of the ever-present fog of nightlighting glow from developed areas. Birds and insects and nocturnal wildlife can all be severely affected by excess light and continually rising light levels. The darkened back yards of our youth are ever more giving way to the spillover glare of the nearby shopping center, auto dealer or fast-food franchise. Thus came about the formation of the International Dark-Sky Initiative, an advocacy espousing smarter and more parsimonious use of light throughout our cities and towns. In recent decades, many municipalities have enacted ordinances and building code provisions that call for precisely aimed and calibrated lighting schemes, often using cut-off fixtures that shi eld neighbors from light spillover and glare.

Good lighting design is therefore a choreography of light, with each lighting element playing its role, and each lighting feature adding to the overall composition. Lighting designers have developed a kit of tools to assist them in this dance:

Lamps and light sources range from incandescent to fluorescent to HID to neon to LED, each offering its own particular mix of color, intensity and quality of light, coupled with variables of cost and applicability. The lighting designer can precisely match lamp and light source to optimum use for the situation at hand.

Light fixture designs and mounting locations vary from point-source to single lamp to multi-fixture to array, and from within pavement to step to bollard to wall to canopy to pole to wire. The designer can place light wherever it is needed and can aim it wherever is desired, with whatever final effect is intended.

Lighting power sources that include new fuels, co-generation, off-peak power consumption and solar technologies, enable the designer to drive down operating costs while optimizing reliability.

Computer-controlled and feedback lighting control systems allow lighting to be continually adjusted to suit such ever-changing factors as daylighting, room or building occupancy, energy cost fluctuations, etc.

Sophisticated engineering software enables the designer to orchestrate the lighting design for desired light levels, intensity, uniformity, spread, modulation or rhythm, color and light quality, and resulting ambience, all the while monitoring eventual installation and operating costs.

Text Message Marketing (Sms) Event Creation Part 1

What is the best way to keep in touch with my existing customers on a consistent basis? How can I keep my customers interested in my products/services? How can I generate repeat business with my current and new clientele that is affordable?

Many businesses, especially small business owners, know that the answers to these questions are vital to their survival in todays economy. They need to get the word out to the masses about their products/services and upcoming events in order to not only sustain their current level of business, but to expand their clientele and increase their level of productivity.

When a business owner recognizes a lull in their profits and customer retention, it is time to formulate a creative and affordable way to generate repeat business with their existing clients as well as bringing in new customers. They need to establish their own buzz in the marketplace as to not get overlooked or get lost in the vast and competitive business world.

The best and most affordable way to accomplish this is through text message marketing. Text message marketing, also known as SMS or cell phone marketing, is a quick and affordable way to stay in touch with your customers. To start, you send them a short message asking them to opt-in (opt in means your customer accepts this form of communication from your business) to receive promotional text messages. This will allow them to receive helpful information about your products/services, sales, and upcoming events your business has to offer.

They also have the option to opt out of this form of communication. This gives your customers a choice. People feel better when they are in control. When they are afforded the option to choose how they will be informed of your sales/events, they are more likely to trust you as a business owner. With that trust, they are more likely to continue giving you their business.

Either way, it is a very simple and quick process. All they have to do is reply once to a short text message. That's it. There are no forms to fill out, no surveys to complete, and they do not have to give out personal information. Isn't this type of advertising considered spam? No it is not. If your customers are choosing to opt in, they are agreeing to receive text messages from your business; therefore, because they agreed to this type of information delivery, it is not spam.

If you choose to advertise your business through conventional methods such as a classified ad or TV and radio commercials, you will spend thousands of dollars. This type of advertising not only gives your competition a heads-up by knowing what you are planning (new products/services, sales, events), you also have absolutely no way to track your investment. By choosing to advertise via SMS, you are giving your business the advantage by keeping your competition in the dark. You are also able to discern what promotions/events/sales/ are working and quickly adjust to meet your customer's needs.

Get Faster Download Times by Making Bigger Web Pages!

As a webmaster you already know how important it is that your web pages download fast. In a nutshell, if your pages are slow, then you're losing visitors. And if you're losing visitors, you're losing money.

To speed up your download times, most web design experts will suggest that you optimize your GIFs and JPGs so that they download faster. They'll suggest that you make your images smaller or remove them altogether. Or they'll simply suggest that you put less stuff on your pages.

All of these methods work. The problem, however, is that they all involve doing things that you don't want to do. You don't want to squeeze any more quality and color out of your images. The same goes for your content - you put it there because you want it there. Basically, there's only so far you can go with these approaches before you really start to ruin your page.

Fortunately, there's one way to get your pages opening faster without having to compromise your images or your content. This is a simple and effective method, but one that is rarely discussed by the web design experts.

To understand this approach, it's important to recognize the difference between "perceived" download time and "actual" download time. The perceived download time is the time it takes to have enough stuff displayed on your page for the visitor to be able to start studying your content. The actual download time is the time it takes for the entire page and all its contents to be fully downloaded.

The perceived download time is the one that really counts. Why? Because once your visitor has something before his/her eyes to read or look at, then there is much less risk that he/she will click away because your page is taking too long to load.

So how do you improve your perceived download time?

Simple, you break the content of your page down into two or more tables.

You see, web browsers will not start displaying the contents of a table until it has compiled the entire table to the end. Once a table is compiled it will display, and the browser will start compiling the next table.

That means that if you place the entire contents of your page inside one big table, the browser will have to compile the entire contents of your page before anything will be displayed. The result: your visitor spends all that time staring at a blank screen.

However, by putting some of the content towards the top of the page into a table of its own, the rest of the page can be downloading farther down, while your visitor is busy studying the stuff that's already displayed.

I've used this method to great effect on my own website. I went from an actual download time of up to 20 seconds (staring at a white screen) down to a perceived download time of rarely more than 3 seconds (often as low as 1 second)!

The ironic thing is, my page is now bigger (in terms of Kilobytes) than it was before I made the change. That's because 2 tables take more HTML than one.

But boy has that extra bit of HTML paid off!

Make a test page now and try it out. Your hit counter will thank you for it!

Testing Lead to Preventive Measure

Why testing is important for any product? Everybody knows about it but ignores it intentionally, especially when change is minor. Normally, people assume that for small changes why we should spend so much time on testing. The reason is, we are using so many tools and technologies available in the market without even knowing 20% of its usage and implication. Do we really aware of these tools being passed all the testing hurdles? Do we really understand the limitations? Do we understand internal complexity of it? Do we analyze if it would be fit for our project? Even though, if, it is known to the architect/designer, is this knowledge pass down to the developer level? The answer is NO!!!!!

That is reason why I would suggest having more review & testing time than earlier.

Testing team should be completely different from development team and directly reporting to client. That way, client can ensure correctness and completeness of development. It is a difficult thing to convince service industry, but, client should make themselves aware of these facts.

Software testing is to ensure the business and technical requirement is being met based on the test data and controlled as well as uncontrolled operating conditions.

Software testing is a process of creating test cases based on requirement (both business & technical) and run it under conditions to see the expected results. The result in software testing is either pass or fail. You can compare this to your exams!!!!! It is the examination time for development team.

There various methods that can be used for software product. But, the methods should be chosen based on following criteria: 1. Type of project/product (Development, Maintenance, Support,) 2. Size of the project/product 3. Type of talent in the team Testing is a major contributor in deciding on preventive action to be taken.

Companies normally put good amount of money on quality, six sigma, CMM assessment but one thing that they forget is all these processes will work perfectly when you have strong review & testing team/process. Unless, you understand every possible issue, small or big, there is no way you can prevent it in future.

I remember one incident when we were developing a client based product. This was the time when we were hardcore developers. We have developed it with solid design (using OOPs methodology, those days it was bigger achievement) and used all the robust objects under VC++. The product got developed and I was assigned to do the testing of the product. I did the testing and passed it. However, one of my friends had some doubt on this and sat with me for another round of testing. We have tested this product by running the same application again and again. After testing it 14th time, there is an object in the menu got disappear!! Subsequently, for each cycle of testing objects are getting disappeared

The problem was we release an object which is created by us, however, as per the guideline this object will also get released by compiler as well.

Top 10 Things To Remember When Choosing a Web Design Company

Choosing a website design company is by no means an easy task. The market is full of new and established companies, all with different price brackets that are fighting to get your hard earned cash. So what can you do to make sure you pick the right one? As with anything you are taking a bit of a chance, but the great thing about web companies is that they should have some sort of a reputation, which with some of these techniques you can investigate and use to your advantage.

1.)Check Their Portfolio

A portfolio is a web companys demonstration of their previous work. This will usually show all of their websites that they have designed and built. Be careful to analyse these, check for bugs, speed issues and general overall standard of the website.

2.)What Do Their Existing Clients Think?

Its vital to find out as much information as possible on the potential company. Scour review websites like Trust Pilot and search for reviews on the company. Try searches like company name reviews and you should be able to get some results back depending on the size of the company.

3.)Do They Outsource Their Work?

This is a common occurrence in many web design companies at the moment. The sales are all done locally, i.e. in the United Kingdom and all of the support, design and development work is outsourced to countries like India, Romania and Lithuania. Its not essential that they dont do this, but often if the support is outsourced, it can be time consuming because of the language barrier when your explaining things. More importantly, if they outsource their design and development work, this means that their costs will be a lot lower. This is due to the lower cost of employment in lesser established countries. Barter with them and use this as justification for a price decrease. Only if you think it is appropriate.

4.)What Support Do You Get?

From time to time problems will inevitably arise and you will need to change the text for a link or alter an image. Make sure that the company states clearly what will count as support and what will be paid work. Also, make sure that you know how many hours that you will get from your support agreement with them.

5.)What is the chain of command?

When a problem arises and you need to speak to someone in charge, it is reassuring that you can pick up the phone and speak to them directly without having to wait for an email response. Find out who is responsible for issues related to support, payment and hosting etc and how you can contact them should there be any problems.

6.)Make Sure You Agree All Work Before Paying A Penny

Once you decide on your chosen web company, make sure that you receive a full website specification that will list every little part of functionality and design in the website. If you are not happy with it or there is something missing, discuss this with them. If they wont include it or alter it, take your business elsewhere.

7.)Find Out What Happens If You Want To Terminate Your Agreement With Them.

It may be possible that your company expands massively and you decide to move the website to an in-house service within your company. Find out what their terms are and any costs involved if you decide to do this further down the line.

8.)What Happens If The Website Goes Down Or A Problem Arises Over The Weekend?

Most web companies only operate during the working week (Monday Friday), but as you will probably be aware, websites operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Make sure that you know what will happen should your website go down or a critical problem arises out of hours and at weekends.

9.)Dont Pay Everything At Once

This is a huge point. Whatever you do, do not pay for all of the website build upfront. If something goes wrong during the build process, you could loose your money. Web companies will usually ask you to complete the payment in stages during the build cycle. Usual payments are half upfront and half on completion.

10.)Dont Rush

You could be using this website for your business for a very long time. Therefore its critical to make the write decision to pick the company that is right for you. If a company is charging low prices, this does not necessarily mean that they are a company of poor quality. Likewise, if a company charges high prices, this does not necessarily make their websites perfect. Take your time and do plenty of research.

Should You Choose Flash For Website Development?

Increasing numbers of people are using it in their websites because there are undeniable advantages to it. However there are a few disadvantages as well that you certainly should not ignore.

The use of Flash in website designs makes the web site extremely attractive looking. It is possible to use Flash to design a large variety of components of your web site. It is most commonly used to make intros or even banners. However, it is even possible to use it for designing text, although this is restricted to certain parts of the web pages and is rarely used on the entire page.

There is no doubt at all the use of Flash in website designs creates an environment that attracts visitors to the site. It is the best thing to be used if you require a site that is more interactive than others. This can be achieved with the help of animation, games or even movie clips.

If the company that you are making website designs for is in the creative field then Flash is an absolute necessity because it offers designers a great platform to express their creativity. They web site can be made to look very unusual and completely unlike any other. The web pages will look very animated and will be as different from staid looking HTML pages as is possible. In fact, not using Flash can work out to these companies disadvantage because potential clients will gauge the company's creativity by looking at its website.

As a web site designer you have to worry about retaining visitors in a site for as long as possible so that they transact some business and not just attract them as one time visitors. This is made very easy if your website designs are exciting and not boring and stationary.

There are therefore many compelling arguments for you to use Flash in your website designs. Needless to say, you need to know how to use it correctly and in the required amounts. Overloading your web site with it can cause it to take too long to load and this will in turn cause dissatisfaction amongst many visitors to your site. Website design and development have now become compulsory for every business, especially those who maintain their presence in the virtual of the internet. The business is usually boosted with a good website but this is not true every time. Nowadays there is competition in the world of internet too. The websites vie with each other for buyers. Usually there is a reasonable amount of money involved in designing and development of a website. When it is about business, one has to take all the steps towards reducing costs and increasing sales. There are many coding languages for website Development. One of the most popular coding languages is PHP.

Some of the reasons for this popularity are as follows.

Compatibility is hardly any issue with PHP. This coding language is compatible with different server platforms like Linux and Windows. This has a positive effect on the compatibility with the browsers like Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. A PHP based website can be downloaded easily. There is a readymade framework too.

Making the website appealing:

Visual applications and graphics are needed to make the website more appealing. Studies have proved that images and visual content are more effective than the text content for converting the visitor into a buyer. Visual applications can be easily included with the help of PHP. Which Issues Need To Be Taken Care Of Before Hosting A Website

No sooner does the job of website design get completed than the task of hosting it prompts its owner. There is no reason to think that a web hosting company can relieve a website owner of all responsibilities as to hosting his or her so called web campaign through some prehensile and beautifully designed web pages which are found in a single web-book that we call Website. A website about to be hosted, its owner needs to be careful about the points like considering prudently if one needs Shared Hosting or a Dedicated one for his website, if Linux Hosing will be best compatible or a Windows Hosting, if choice of Domain Name should be scrupulous and matching with the objective of the website, if website security, database security and transaction security need to be ensured by The Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.

With the completion of a website design, a larger and more responsible job of affairs start ---- on part of both the website owner as well as the web hosting company. Website owners, henceforth, needs to keep their eyes and ears open and alert so that they may not be sitting ducks for those web hosting companies who sometimes do the unfair taking advantage of the ignorance of their clients. The practices of unfair jobs in terms of charging heavily with hidden cost and misguidance will be clear if one cares to think of some issues.

Think how mocking and frivolous it would be on part of a website image due to wrong choice of a hosting server if web clients are to wait for a frustratingly longer period of real-time for making an access to a website! Think how baffling it would be if a wrong Domain name is chosen, for instance, if an all-out commercial website is suffixed with an educational extension like (.org) and the domain name barely matches with the substances of the website! Think how foolish it would be for small investors if they are offered to subscribe to a Dedicated host server!

Host Servers: Website owners need to take care of the facts that if a website has been designed with PHP scripting language and MY SQL database, then Linux Hosting server will be best suited for that website when if a website has been designed with ASP, PHP 5, ASP.NET 4.0 languages and MS SQL 2005 and MY SQL databases, then Windows Hosting will be compatible.

Choice of Server: There are Shared server and Dedicated server. Charges vary from one another. As there will be a number of websites being hosted on a Shared Server, the charge will be less than a Dedicated server where a single website is hosted, and therefore, the charges for the latter better facility will be necessarily more.

Choice of Domain Name: Choosing an appropriate domain name should be very crucial. Accounting Websites And Decreasing Your Costs

What's the first thing that you think of when I bring up the subject of websites? Lots of people connect accounting website design with marketing, and this is really your website's principal function. Websites are extremely intense instruments, though. By adding a few simple features and grasping the best way to make use of them you will substantially cut your operating costs.

It's a simple matter to add a "Track Your Refund" feature to your website. Supplement this with a few smartly chosen interactive financial calculators to help clients with frequently asked questions about personal and family finances. If you have an administrative assistant these features can really empower her as a gatekeeper. Make sure she's familiar with these features, too, so he can refer callers to the appropriate web pages on your site. This can save you a lot of unbillable hours on the phone.

How much do you spend each year on printing and postage?

Transition your communications to email. Now, most firms have already done this for daily contact messages, but a surprisingly large number of firms are still wasting a lot of money on printing and postage. You can almost eliminate these costs completely by incorporating certain functions right into your accounting website design.

The first feature is your newsletter. When you design your website include a page for an online newsletter. Instead of mailing out a paper newsletter just send an email to your clients with a few article "teasers" and links back to the stories on your newsletter pages.

Another real killer comes around every year about this time. It's tax season. Are you still mailing out your annual tax organizers? Try distributing them over the internet instead! There's two very effective methods to accomplish this.

Let's look at the easy solution first. Post your tax organizer on your accounting website as a downloadable document. Use Adobe Acrobat to convert your tax organizer as a PDF file so Mac users can access them, too. This solution is the quickest, easiest, and cheapest solution. Your clients can just download the form, fill it out, and mail it back to you.

The other solution is much cooler, but also a lot trickier. You can set up your tax organizer as an online form that your clients can fill out and submit online. There are a lot of advantages to this method. You'll get better participation because your clients don't need to mail it back. Better yet, once the client is finished filling it out you get access to the results instantly. On the other hand this requires some advanced programming. Traditional form pages send the completed form by email, and tax organizers contain a lot of confidential information. Obviously this is a significant security issue. Instead you need to run the password protected form directly off the host server. Most small accounting firms won't want to deal with the advanced programming required to make this work.

The last thing I want to talk about is your file exchange. Secure file exchange will substantially improve your office's efficiency. This bit of design will save you a lot of chaos around tax time. There's no more need for the expense of overnight delivery or, worse yet, the inconvenience of hand delivery of client data. You can easily transfer this information securely and instantly over your website. Many accounting firms, especially ones with multiple offices, have taken this design concept a step further. They are actually running their accounting software right on a web server so they can access any clients data, any time, from any place, and in real time.

Your accounting website design is unquestionably one of the most effective selling tools on your tool belt, but it will also make and save your firm a lot of cash each year. Make use of these strategies. Even if your site doesn't bring in a single new client it will still pay for itself. Not only will it shrink your operating costs, you'll discover it also boosts client satisfaction and retention.
