How to plan Winter gardening do-it-yourself projects

Winter is coming. Outside gardening is coming to an end for the season, but there are still gardening-related projects you can do over wintertime. Consult with your "Honey" combine your project lists and create files. Plan the projects prudently and get entire family involved.

See slide show for more information:

How to plan Winter gardening DIY projects

Things you'll need:

Dust off old gardening To Do lists from your garden desk and workbench area. Go through them to make sure you have not already completed the projects or you have changed your mind. Go over the list to with your honey to make sure she is in agreement. Go on-line, to the Library, to the Home Store gardening book racks, and to your local Nursery or Home Store Garden Department for new gardening do-it-yourself ideas. Maybe you want to install a wall fountain, treat those Mole critters, plant some jasmine vines so they will grow over the winter, or decorate some of your terra cotta pots. Write everything down, make design sketches, take pictures, use magazine article tear sheets, sketch gardening ideas, scan photos and sheets into your computer for future reference. Build DIY gardening project file folders with information you can cull later.

Go outside, walk around house, garden, and lawn with your "Honey," identifying any new projects or modify old ideas for projects. Discuss which projects are most important and have the greatest benefit for your spring gardening efforts. Make a general bulleted list that refers back to notes and pictures in files. Include costs in your discussions and notes. Jot down what materials will be needed for each project and check to see what you have on hand in garden shed or workshop. Update your numbers after Honey gets through checking them with a calculator and correcting your errors! Her numbers and ideas, of course, are perfectly ok so don't worry about checking them! Be sure and have her sign her notes though, for future reference!

Prioritize and sketch ideas of DIY gardening projects that are most important. Use A, B, C system. Most important projects are noted as A, second most important, B, least important C. Stop right there, any D projects are not worth the time. Consider time and labor and costs in your prioritization process.. Ask questions, will the project make my spring garden or landscaping efforts easier? Will it be worth the money spent on it and does it need special tools to complete? How long will it require to complete, and can it be finished over the winter? Be realistic and consider if it adds to the value of your home, enhances your lifestyle, or fits with your gardening philosophy, like a Green project, if that is your desire. Once you and Honey agree on project priorities, make a master list with tiles and note where files are, get a desktop file holder and start on your gardening do-it-yourself projects! Good Gardening!

In my patio, I had a metal shed. Now, with so much of snow falling this winter, the metal began to show its true color, that doesn't complement well with the garden nicely.

Time has arrived for me to have a new shed. From available shed designs, I came up a decision to design a shed myself and construct it during my spare time.

You will likely to get a simple DIY kit when you need a shed like I do. Well scrap the idea. These DIY shed design kits will only charge you more and they're not durable and you cant rely on the quality. A lot of them dont go well to your gorgeous garden according to what i saw from my buddies who tried it.

It was the catalyst that made me to decide to design a shed and construct it myself. I discovered many shed plans on the Web to choose from, good thing the best plans can be found in MyShedPlans.

Before you may begin constructing, you need to take into account some factors especially if youre a novice builder. These factors are storage shed designs, materials used and the desired site to build your shed. Simply design a shed that isn't too big so you can handle the work easily.

Allow me to share to you how I undertake it quickly from how to design a shed until the building process and here's the simple steps:

The location of the shed must be established and consider how it harmonizes with the rest of the garden. Take into account the size of your backyard with regards to the size of your storage shed. Your beautiful backyard might be put into jeopardy if the large shed is constructed.

Now you can start to design a shed. There are the 12.000 designs that are available in the MyShedPlans guide that you can choose from which you think are suitable for you; these is after you have decided the size of your shed. You might want to go to some home improvement stores to get an idea of the actual size of the shed you selected from the MyshedPlans guide.

Materials you may need for your shed project are all listed under The MyshedPlans guide Bring this list on your community home improvement store and get the supplies you need for the construction. Before going to the store make certain that every material is listed to avoid running back again to purchase the forgotten materials.

Now we can start constructing the shed exactly based on the plans at the time you started to design a shed. The mounting directions that you can find at MyShedPlans guide are simple to follow. As you begin to the build the foundation of the shed make sure first to level out the ground of the site.

The materials for your wall should be arrange and have them ready. The key point here is that its a good idea to have the walls constructed on the ground. As soon as they are together you may lift them into position and strengthen them with nails. You can then start the roof by constructing the trusses one by one.

The shed is almost done just some retouch to make it look great. Remember to stick to the shed plans and the storage shed designs of your project when you design a shed on your own. The singles should be ready to apply once you have completed putting the trusses and attached the roof in place. You can also now treat the wood. Make sure you have a protective coating or covering applied on it to protect it from weather conditions.

Cheers to your work after you're done. Your hard work has worked you are able to now enjoy and make your backyard neat. In the end its not that hard to Design a Shed even if only you are doing everything.

Aside from wide doors, garden sheds often have cupolas and windows for better ventilation and light. If there are large windows you normally do not need to add electrical lights, which is another cost. Garden sheds also usually have shelves for storing pots and other garden and yard tools and accessories. Sometimes they even include indoor potting benches. Drawers and bins where you can keep small hand tools, gloves and other things are also common in garden sheds.

Remember that your garden shed design does not have to be plain or boring. There are many ways to customize the look of your shed. Color is one of the quickest and easiest ways to change the feel of a shed. You can add other decorations and accessories to change the feel and look of your shed. Its all up to you. There is a lot to consider when buying or building a garden shed, but with a little time and effort you will soon have the garden shed of your dreams.

Here's A Simple Way To Design A Shed Even If You'e A Novice Builder

Here Is A Quick Way To Design A Shed Even If You'e A Newbie Builder

We had a metal shed in our patio. With the onslaught of winter that brings thick snow, the metal's true color is showing, that doesn't complement well with the garden nicely.

It's high time to construct a new shed to avoid the tools and stocks from being worn out by weather conditions. From available shed designs, I came up a decision to design a shed myself and construct it during my spare time.

In case you need a shed much like me, it is likely you first take into account getting a simple DIY kit. Just put that aside immediately. DIY kits are too expensive, not very sturdy, of doubtful quality and quite often just not suitable for your gardenand believe me I've come across many lousy examples from some friends of mine.

The idea do design a shed and built it myself sprung from that example. Thankfully, I was able to find a number of shed plans while I explored the Internet and the best ones are from the website MyShedPlans.

Not all of us are expert carpenter like me who is a novice builder, before you can start the construction there are a couple of points to think about first: storage shed designs, materials and the selected area to construct your shed. Make certain if youre a novice builder to design a shed that's not too big.

Allow me to present to you how I undertake it without difficulty from how to design a shed until the construction process and and listed below are the quick steps:

It is important to determine where you want to build it and make sure that it is in harmony with the look of your garden. The size of your garden should be put into consideration and should be relate to the size of your storage shed. Your beautiful backyard might be put into jeopardy if the large shed is constructed.

You may begin now to design a shed for your project. There are the 12.000 designs that are available in the MyShedPlans guide that you can choose from which you think are suitable for you; these is after you have decided the size of your shed. There are home improvement stores that you might want to check out as they can help you with your design that you get from MyshedPlans guide.

The materials you need for your shed creation are all stated under The MyshedPlans guide Take this list on your nearby home improvement store and get the supplies you need for the construction. Make sure that you got everything listed so you wont have to run about to buy the lacking materials.

Now you may embark on constructing your shed project exactly based on the plans you formulated from the time you are in the process of how to design a shed. The mounting instructions that you can find at MyShedPlans guide are easy to follow. As you begin to the build the foundation of the shed make sure first to level out the ground of the site.

On your walls, organize the materials and put them aside. The key point here is that its a good idea to have the walls constructed on the ground. When they are already joined together you can bolster them with nails. Apply the trusses one by one but make sure the alignment is followed and you can put the roof after you are done with the trusses.

The shed is almost done just some retouch to make it look great. If you design a shed yourself, make sure to stick to the shed plans and the storage shed designs. The singles should be ready to apply once you have completed putting the trusses and attached the roof in place. You can also now treat the wood. Check to make sure you have applied a protective coating or covering that will serve as protection from elements.

Cheers to your work after you're done. Your hard work has worked you can now enjoy and make your backyard neat. After all its not that hard to Design a Shed even if only you are doing everything.

Testing Lead to Preventive Measure

Why testing is important for any product? Everybody knows about it but ignores it intentionally, especially when change is minor. Normally, people assume that for small changes why we should spend so much time on testing. The reason is, we are using so many tools and technologies available in the market without even knowing 20% of its usage and implication. Do we really aware of these tools being passed all the testing hurdles? Do we really understand the limitations? Do we understand internal complexity of it? Do we analyze if it would be fit for our project? Even though, if, it is known to the architect/designer, is this knowledge pass down to the developer level? The answer is NO!!!!!

That is reason why I would suggest having more review & testing time than earlier.

Testing team should be completely different from development team and directly reporting to client. That way, client can ensure correctness and completeness of development. It is a difficult thing to convince service industry, but, client should make themselves aware of these facts.

Software testing is to ensure the business and technical requirement is being met based on the test data and controlled as well as uncontrolled operating conditions.

Software testing is a process of creating test cases based on requirement (both business & technical) and run it under conditions to see the expected results. The result in software testing is either pass or fail. You can compare this to your exams!!!!! It is the examination time for development team.

There various methods that can be used for software product. But, the methods should be chosen based on following criteria: 1. Type of project/product (Development, Maintenance, Support,) 2. Size of the project/product 3. Type of talent in the team Testing is a major contributor in deciding on preventive action to be taken.

Companies normally put good amount of money on quality, six sigma, CMM assessment but one thing that they forget is all these processes will work perfectly when you have strong review & testing team/process. Unless, you understand every possible issue, small or big, there is no way you can prevent it in future.

I remember one incident when we were developing a client based product. This was the time when we were hardcore developers. We have developed it with solid design (using OOPs methodology, those days it was bigger achievement) and used all the robust objects under VC++. The product got developed and I was assigned to do the testing of the product. I did the testing and passed it. However, one of my friends had some doubt on this and sat with me for another round of testing. We have tested this product by running the same application again and again. After testing it 14th time, there is an object in the menu got disappear!! Subsequently, for each cycle of testing objects are getting disappeared

The problem was we release an object which is created by us, however, as per the guideline this object will also get released by compiler as well.

You know, what the preventive measure is for this..Why testing is important for any product? Everybody knows about it but ignores it intentionally, especially when change is minor. Electronic cigarette filters

Electronic cigarette filters are essentially a part of the entire set up of e health cigarettes that consist of three basic components namely the lithium ion battery, reusable atomizing device and the filter. When the e health cigarette is switched on the LED starts glowing deriving its power from the battery. If the user takes the puff the atomizer warms up the electronic cigarette filter and in turn the nicotine solution inside the filter also warms up. The solution when warm is converted into vapor and inhaling this gives the user a feeling of using a real cigarette.

The electronic cigarette filters contain the nicotine solution when heated up are released in the form of vapors. Several studies have revealed that as such nicotine is not at all harmful and the nicotine vapors produced from the electronic cigarette filters produce very minimum effect similar to that of caffeine present in a mug of tea or coffee. Caffeine are considered to be harmful but produce very little or no effect if consumed in less quantities as in the tea or coffee.

The production of e health cigarettes is dependent on majority of factors. The government doesn't approve it to be a safe product as the research work has yet to establish a relationship that using of e health cigarettes is really beneficial.

The electronic cigarette filter in two-piece design of an e health cigarette is somewhat different. The atomizer and the electronic cigarette filter are fused to form a single part. The combined form of atomizer and electronic cigarette filter (cartridge) is called as cartomizer. The manufacturers of this type of e health cigarettes promote the two-piece design as a better alternative than the traditional three-piece design. The claim is somewhat debatable but still the two-piece design is definitely advancement from the earlier product. The messy job of replacing the refill cartridges or electronic cigarette filter is avoided in the new design. The cartomizer is completely sealed and thus the flavor of nicotine is maintained at fresher levels.

The shelf life of nicotine refill cartridge or the electronic cigarette filter is almost a year and one doesn't have to worry about this aspect of maintenance of freshness in the earlier models or the three-piece designs.

But in the hindsight even this is somewhat exaggerated because atomizers need to be replaced very less often due to their durability and cost wise also the cartomizers are expensive since they are combination of electronic cigarette filter and the atomizer.

Affiliate Programs And Affiliate Marketing A Wealth Of Opportunities

For as long as employment has been the mandatory way in which to make money, people have been looking for easy escapes. The dream of earning a huge salary without much work, has been the goal of many but has been realised by very few. The online revolution seemed to pry open many of the doors that had shut in the real world. However even now there is an air of disillusionment hanging around the Internet, following the dot com crash and rumours and speculation abound about security. But despite the seemingly insurmountable odds one online industry that has welcomed people of all abilities, backgrounds and qualifications has continued to thrive. The affiliate marketing program is a web based advertising realm, which offers regular website owners the chance to host advertisements and hopefully to earn a little money.

Even in the affiliate program the big money doesn't come easily, it takes time, patience and some good business decisions. The first of these decisions lies in which industry that a new affiliate wishes to join. The Internet is a hot bed of industry performance, with its uninhibited global reach business and enterprise has become a cornerstone for the new e-industries. One of the most successful global sectors is that of online gaming. People from all corners of the global village have been signing up and playing along in some of the most exciting betting action ever seen. Sports betting has become a particularly hot industry, turning over billions of dollars each year, and maintaining one of the largest clientele of an industry. As such the sports betting sites provide the optimum partnership level for new affiliate, looking to get a cut of the action.

The fledgling affiliate is given all of the marketing tools and instructions to make their site a successful advertising forum. Making the transition from Internet user to marketing guru an easy one. No money exchanges hands in this initial transaction, the affiliate is instead paid on a commission basis. Each fully signed up customer the affiliate attracts brings them extra revenue. In the sports betting market this revenue tends to be based around the financial gains that individual creates for the site. The sports betting sites ordinarily offer up to 35% of each player's revenue, to the affiliate that attracted them. Therefore affiliates can earn in line with the profits of an online bookmaker, meaning that like the sports betting sites, the affiliate is able to earn without boundaries or caps.

Due to the ease with which a person can sign up and start earning through the online sports betting affiliate program, there is absolutely nothing stopping any person signing up and earning. The potential for custom in the sports betting market is unparalleled, therefore an affiliate has a huge Internet clientele to exploit. The earning capabilities of an online affiliate are only inhibited by their own willingness to work and experiment with the online advertising options. The affiliate marketing program offers opportunity in return for very little in the way of effort or financial backing. In essence you can reap the rewards of your own labours, whilst collecting more in the process, just through hosting advertisements.

Why-You-Should-Promote-Residual-Affiliate Programs

Why You Should Promote Residual Affiliate Programs

Are you a webmaster in need of additional income? Or are you planning to set up an online business but you still don't have any product to sell? If so, affiliate marketing may be the best solution for your problems. With affiliate marketing, you won't need to worry about the products you have to sell. All you need to have is a website with sufficient contents that are related to the products of a certain online company offering affiliate programs. By becoming a member of the program, or by becoming an affiliate, you can start earning a certain amount of money right away!

Affiliate marketing is some sort of business relationship established between a merchant and his affiliates. In affiliate marketing, an affiliate agrees to direct some traffic to a merchant's website. If that traffic is converted into some kind of action, like a visitor purchasing a product on the merchant's website or a visitor becoming a lead for the company, the affiliate who directed the traffic will be compensated. Compensation may take the form of either a percentage sales commission for the sales generated or a fixed fee predetermined upon the application of the affiliate on the merchant's affiliate program.

Promising a lot of benefits both for the merchants and the affiliates, affiliate marketing has become one of the most popular online marketing methods today. In fact, almost every merchant or retailer site today offers an affiliate program that any one can join into. Most retailers would entice people to become affiliates or members of their program by promising great benefits like large commissions, lifetime commissions, click through incomes and a lot of other benefits. But would all these affiliate programs bring off the same benefits?

Most affiliate programs would pay you, as an affiliate, a one-time commission for every sale or lead you brought to the merchant's website. Commissions for this kind of affiliate programs are usually large, ranging from 15% to a high of about 60%. Other affiliate programs would pay you a fixed fee for every click through or traffic you send to the merchant's site. Programs like this often pay a smaller fee for every click through, usually not getting any larger than half a dollar. The good thing about this kind of program, however, is that the visitor won't have to purchase anything in order for the affiliate to get compensated.

Another type of affiliate program is the residual income affiliate program. Residual affiliate programs usually pay only a small percentage of sales commission for every sale directed by the affiliate to the merchant's site. This commission often comes only in the range of 10% to 20% sales commission. Because of this, many people ignore residual affiliate program and would rather opt for the high paying one-time commission affiliate program. Are these people making a mistake, or are they making the right decision?

We can't tell, for sure, if people are making a mistake by choosing a high paying one-time commission affiliate program. But we can definitely say that they are making a large mistake if they ignore residual affiliate programs. Residual affiliate programs would indeed pay at a lower rate, but merchants offering such kind of programs would generally pay you regular and ongoing commissions for a single affiliate initiated sale! That means, for the same effort you made in promoting a particular affiliate program, you get paid only once in a one-time commission program, and a regular and ongoing commission for a residual program!

So, are the benefits of promoting residual affiliate programs clearer to you now? Or are they still vague? If they are still vague, then let's make them a bit clearer with this example.

Suppose there are two online merchants both offering web hosting services on their sites. The first merchant offers a one-time commission type of affiliate program that pays $80 for every single affiliate initiated sale. The second merchant also offers an affiliate program, but this time a residual affiliate program that pays only $10 for every single affiliate initiated sale. As an affiliate, we may get attracted at once at what the first merchant is offering, as $80 is definitely a lot larger than $10. But by thinking things over before actually getting into them, one may be able to see that the second merchant is offering us more opportunity to earn a larger amount of money.

Supposed you have directed traffic to the merchant and it converted into a sale, you'll get paid once by the first merchant for the sale you have initiated. But with the second merchant, you'll get paid monthly for as long as the customer you have referred to the merchant continues to avail of the web hosting service. That means that for the same effort of getting one customer to avail of the merchant's service, you get paid monthly in residual affiliate programs while you only get paid once in a one-time commission type of affiliate programs.

So, are residual affiliate programs worth promoting? Definitely yes, because you virtually get more money from these types of affiliate programs in the long run! And would residual affiliate programs work best for you? Probably not, probably yes. It is not really for me to tell. But with the benefits that residual affiliate marketing can provide, it would really be unwise to ignore such programs.

White Papers

Just about everyone who has surfed the net in recent times will have come across something called a white paper. Exactly what white papers are and the purposes that they are created for have changed over time to such an extent that there is now considerable confusion and conflicting ideas regarding the nature and classification of the various types of white paper.

We are going to identify those elements that are common to nearly all white papers as well as those elements that set some white papers apart from the rest of the run-of-the-mill variations.

Types of White Papers

As consumers of white papers it is important to realize that many white papers are created with considerable bias in that they may discuss various aspects of a topic in such a way as to present information that is favorable to whoever is sponsoring them (commissioned the development of the white paper in the first place).

White papers can be presented in many different styles and formats. Generally the author of the white paper will choose a style and format that best reflects the methods used in generating any data cited as reference or support for the objectives of individual white papers. This may involve the deliberate omission of information deemed to be competitive in nature.

For example; any given white paper may not mention a competitors product unless the white papers sponsors product can be shown to be superior in some way. The methods used by AMD and Intel to highlight their products performance capabilities in comparison with those of the others product.

White Paper Generic Reports

Over the years white papers have generally tended to be presented in the report format. The reason for this was that the report format is particularly suited to that category of white papers created specifically to provide information or advice to the reader. The type of information or advice served up in this manner has varied considerably over the years.

With this generic report type of white paper, you generally find that the first heading after the title will usually be along the lines of abstract. The following passage(s) will outline a scenario and the rest of the document will continue to develop this theme and present the information that the creators of the white paper want to pass on to you.

There also tends to be a section at the very end of this type of white paper entitled conclusions which as you no doubt have guessed summarizes the information presented earlier in the white paper. In many instances the last section of the conclusions section generally makes a recommendation such as why the white papers sponsors product is the best choice.

The difference between the generic report white paper and those white papers used specifically as a marketing tool lies in the general style in which each is presented as well as the manner in which the information contained within them is structured and presented. The marketing tool white paper will generally mention the sponsors product continually throughout and considerably more times than the generic report white paper does.

White Paper Authoritative Reports

The authoritative report type of white paper has much in common with the generic report white paper but places considerably more emphasis upon the information it presents as opposed to any specific or generic product information.

Educating the Reader - One weighty objective of many authoritative report white papers is to educate the reader. In the case of corporate backed and produced white papers, this usually means to educate the companys customers. It also serves to collect leads for a company.

The manner in which it is structured means that the authoritative report can present a very powerful argument designed to help people make decisions. No prizes for guessing what decision the authors of this type of white paper want the reader to make. The decision wanted is for the reader to buy their products.

Some of the very early white papers were very informative. Many were sponsored by corporations that initially allowed the authors usually researchers, to provide most of the direction and input. This was not very different from the way things worked prior to the advent of the PC. Companies funded certain research projects and the findings became publically available.

It was of most benefit if a company could entice a well-respected academic to do the research and produce a high quality acclaimed report. In order to avoid embarrassment many companies selected the projects and researchers based around topics, which they the corporate sponsor had absolutely no involvement. This way there was no possibility of the works they sponsored coming back to bite them.

Today we see the authoritative report style of white paper presented with a liberal dose of propaganda. This is counter-productive because most readers will simply tune out and move onto something else. No sale made here. A paper about storage devices sponsored by Hewlett Packard will tell us all about the wonders of some HP product. It will not tell us about the alternatives.

Something that these folk seem to have forgotten is that while their latest and greatest new storage server is a wonderful thing many of us would like some information about other types of storage. HP could tell us about their external storage array but no. only the $150,000 blade center gets a mention.

Organization-Oriented White Papers

This class of white paper often focuses upon an organizations internal issues. Organizational policy is the most common topic in this group of white papers. Sometimes this means procedural information, proposed action(s) or other material relevant to a specific topic of current concern.

White Papers as a Marketing Tool

There are no prizes for guessing what this category of white paper is intended to produce. The spin doctors have taken over and the term white paper has now changed to refer to documents that unashamedly highlight the benefits of specific technologies and products.

They really are little more than promotional literature more or less in the same promo formats that we have come to know over the years. The difference is that now they carry the title white paper. This form of white paper is nearly exclusively a form of marketing communications designed to promote a specific company's solutions or products as it relates to the issue or topic examined.

Censorship - One should never lose sight of the fact that these documents will spotlight information that is favorable to the company authoring or sponsoring the white paper while minimizing (or omitting) information that may be deemed to be potentially negative in nature to the company, its products and/or technologies.

Masked White Paper Reports

Here we have another category of documentation that presents labeled either as a white paper or as an exclusive report. In reality, both are purely marketing hype. I think you may have seen the odd exclusive secret report or the 35 page report exposing the shocking truth or maybe this one underground secrets exposed.

This group of supposed reports and white papers are nothing more than the painful marketing blurb that most of us can live without. I have checked a few of these ones out and have come to the conclusion that if the person producing the report had used 10 point font the entire 35 page report suddenly becomes a little over two pages. I; like so many others, tend to find it very hard to give this type of activity any credit what so ever.
