Choosing a Niche For Your Website

This article was originally published by me on Wikinut.com. As it recieved a Starpage-award I decided to share it here on Bukisa as well. You can find the original article and other articles written by me by clicking Here.

When you finally decided that you want to run a website or start a blog, you probably think of it because you have seen someone else run a successfull site. You noticed that this site has a huge amount of visitors, the members-databse is large and you probably already had imaginations about the amount of money you think the webmaster makes out of his site.

This is where most people get their inspiration. They see something thats doing good, and think that they have found their Holy Grail. However, most people don't think of the fact that they will need to compete with this site, among with other site's on the same topic.

However, this is a good way to get into web-design. You'll probably be really ambitious and take time learning alot about web-design.This is how I got into it.

When I was ten years old I started to learn HTML. I ran my first website where I presented myself. Later on I found small javascript-games and figured that I would like to create my own game, so I learned javascript. At a later point I wanted to run a forum (So I learned PHP, not enough though) and when I wanted to run a webshop I started to learn ASP.

All theese "ideas" came from seeing others succeed with their websites. Even though theese site's never became big hits, I learned alot on the way. My first decent website was a database of NES-games along with reviews and guides to as many games I had time to play. Unfortunately this was at a time when I had no money to spare, so I had crappy hosting, couldn't afford a real domain and the site eventually died.

When you decide what topic you should work around, you need to take a few things in consideration.

- Will this be interesting for you in a year or will you get tired of it?

- Do you actually have any knowledge on the subject?

- Has this already been done? If so, what can be improved?

Will this be interesting for you in a year? It is really important that you have a interest in what you are going to write about. This is because when you do have interest in something you enjoy working with it. You probably have knowledge in it, you probably have experience with it and once you get going you can keep going for hours. You will have fun when doing research and this will reflect in the content. You can't base a website on something you lack interest in. You will get bored and the site will die eventually. Trust me. I tried.

Do you actually have any knowledge on the subject? In order for a website to seem serious it is important that it isn't full of fact-errors. If you run a anaconda-website (because you figured it would be smart) you can't base your facts on the movie (Where they are a billion times larger than in reality). Of course people make misstakes, and perhaps you had a bad source. But you want people to believe in you, and revisit the site to look things up. If you corrected a big amount of errors between two visits it will not seem serious. Having content is also important. People want your site to cover the subject completely, and that should be your ambition (even though you should never prioritize quantity before quality). Having knowledge in the chosen subject will allow you to write content faster and better. You will probably know of many sub-areas and you most likely know what will interest the visitors the most.

Has this already been done? If so, what can be improved? When you want to make your website attractive, it is helpful if it is unique. If you want to copy someone else's idea you need to make sure it is better than the original, or people will choose the original site in front of yours eight days a week. Perhaps you can modify the original idea and narrow down the audience?

As an example we could say you want to create your own community. As you know their are plenty of communities out there to interact with your friends. If you narrowed it down you could find people that have more things in common. So say you decide to create a community for people with phobia for dogs instead. Has this been done? Perhaps it has. In that case we could narrow it down even further. What about gathering people with a phobia for only german shepherds?

Now we are getting somewhere. A community for people with phobia for german shepherds! How many communitie's like that have you seen? I have seen none but I bet there is enough people to fill a small community. Now this gives you all sorts of benefits. You suddenly have the possibility to share information on the specific dog. Perhaps you could get help to create some kind of guide to help people out with their phobia? The possibilities are huge.

I talked alot about knowledge and interest being important. However, your first websites will most likely only be practice since it is not very easy to manage a site. So during your first projects you can feel free to write about anything that pops up in your head. It gives you a perfect opportunity to learn something new. Also you might get new ideas along the way.

Remember: -Have fun. Don't treat your first websites as a job since you will find alot of errors later on, get new ideas or get tired of the subject -Don't get discouraged when you don't get many pageviews. My first site had zero visits... -Practice makes perfect -Don't rush serious projects

How to sell products and services online by building your own website on a shoestring budget

Whole books could be and have been written on the subject of selling products and services online. I will limit this to some basic first steps for those who want to set up their own website and start selling on a shoestring. You must first ask some basic questions for each step in this process.

What am I selling?

This may seem obvious but what you decide to sell affects the type of website you build. If you plan to buy wholesale products and resell them, you will probably be handling a whole catalog of products from your wholesaler. You will need some kind of dynamic, ecommerce website with a shopping cart and the ability to process credit card payments. If you are making your own products, you will need your own website with an order form and payment buttons or a shopping cart or someway to take payments. Here is a list of questions, by no means exhaustive, to ask yourself about your products:

1) If I am buying wholesale, will I buy the products, store them, then ship them out myself?

2) If I am buying wholesale, will I have the products dropshipped to my customer (the customer places the order with you, you place the order with the wholesaler, and the wholesaler ships the product to your customer with your name on it)?

3) If I am making my own products, how will I store them, price them, and ship them?

4) How many products will I sell?

5) Do my products have variations such as size, color, etc.?

6) Will I sell digital products?

7) How will I take payments?

Again, how you answer these questions will determine the type of website you build. For instance, the answer to #5 may determine what shopping cart you use.

Can I build the website myself or do I need a professional?

If recording on a VCR seems frightening, you probably should find a web designer. You can find a wide range of pricingjust try a Google search. If I were going to find a designer, I would probably stick with someone local unless I found a really great price. You just never know what you might get on the Internet and end up paying more than you can afford. Building a website yourself is really not as difficult as it seems, and there are a lot of choices. Costs can run from a few dollars a month to nothing but your time and labor. You should decide if you want to pay for web hosting or find a free site. There are pros and cons for both:

Paid Web Hosting: You can get some good deals at decent web host companies such as Host Monster, Blue Host, Lunarpages, etc. There are lots of choices but dont get overwhelmed. Always start with a search for web hosting and review. You can find lots of reviews and rankings for most of the major hosts. Check four review sites and find the web host that appears on all four, and meets your requirements for price, storage (you need space for all those pictures, videos, and cool stuff youre planning), bandwidth (my definition: the amount of traffic your website can get before your web host demands more money), ecommerce capabilities, etc. Average price is about $5 or $6 dollars per month though you usually have to pay for a whole year up front. Most give you one free domain name as well for a savings of about $9 or $10 dollars.

If youve never had a website before be prepared for a bit of a learning curve. Once you sign up you will be handed a CPanel and turned loose on the world wide web. Dont panic. Explore your CPanel (or control panel) firstit will have things like email accounts, a site builder of some kind, lots of things youve never heard of like Mysql, Cron jobs, MIME, Ruby on Rails, etc. It hopefully will have Fantastico and/or Simple Scripts. These two will help you install the software to build your website. They will also uninstall them so dont be afraid to check out all the programs available. Follow the instructions, dont panic and utilize the help sections and forums. Some of the programs that will be provided include: Joomla, Magento, OSCommerce, Cube Cart. If I can build a website myself, anyone can.

Free Websites

There are lots and lots of free websites. Again, do a search for free web hosting and review. Check which has a great chart listing 254 free hosts. Many of these are free because they place banner ads on your site; others limit storage and bandwidth and hope you pay for their premium services; some are easy to use but not very customizable.

A few of the ones Ive used are: ads and they do have a premium service. Wix is all flash and very fun to play around withits just drag and drop. I have found it to be a bit buggy but that may just be my browser. For selling products, they provide flash Paypal buttons. Yola.com (formerly synthasite.com) is another free oneno ads and no limits on storage or bandwidth. You can only use their templates and theres no way to access the CSS, although they say theyre working on this. Again, Paypal buttons is the way to sell products and services online with this site. Yola is very easy to understand for even the newbiest Newbie. A third free site is no ads, 100MB storage and 1GB bandwidth. They also have premium services. This is also very easy to use, and you can download their templates to customize the CSS and some HTML. You can use Paypal buttons or they have a new ecommerce program. The free one allows only ten products. With all of these you can use your own domain name, b ut I wouldnt buy them from these websites as they all charge too much. You should be able to get a domain name for $10 dollars or less and have it redirected to your free website.

The Internet provides a lot of choices for building your own website. You can get online and selling your products or services with a budget as low as $10 and your time and labor.

Breathtaking Interior Designs Are Always the Goal - Home - Interior Design

Interior designers are often asked about the origins of the profession especially in the context of quality of life versus product. Has our modern quality of life driven our craving for high-quality design, or has design really been more of a primary impactor in defining how we enjoy wellness? In this article, I will draw on my experience in Londons prestigious interior design community to reflect on how the design process works from this perspective.

When interior designers begin engaging with a potential client, they will often ask about function. What is the desired purpose and use of the room or residence? The answer to this question has a profound impact on everything we do. If a client is desperate for luxury high-end London extravagance in the form of a damask settee, we may recommend a synthetic damask fabric instead of cotton or satin for a household that includes young kids and a pet dog. Breathtaking interior designs are always the goal, but only in the context of compatibility with our clients unique London lifestyles.

Interior designers will work hard to understand client requirements from the outset. Some professional London Interior Design consultancies will even have a series of highly structured interview questions that they routinely use. The interior designer will offer a free consultation at the clients home whether inside or outside London to discover exactly what the client loves and hates about their current residence. Budget should be a conversation point from the very beginning. It is important to clarify whether the client prefers to be given fifteen different interior design options from which to choose, or just two or three.

One area that can be really challenging for the interior designer is when a husband and wife have different ideas about the desired outcome. This can happen regardless of whether the individuals are happily married or considering an impending separation. The interior designer sometimes gets caught in the middle, which can cause real tension.

In recent years, the London interior design community has seen a real upwelling in terms of social media and internet-enabled design opportunities. One of the most positive results is that would-be clients are now much better informed regarding interior design themes and concepts. Londoners read articles just like this one and start to get a sense of the interior design process even before we reach their front door or exchange our first set of emails!

Colour Me Brightly! Understanding Light in Interior Design. Part IV: Conclusion - Home - Interior Design

Professional interior designers are expertly trained in the use of lighting features to create breathtaking results. In this four-part series which I call Colour Me Brightly: Understanding Light in Interior Design, I draw on my experience in Londons interior design community to explain this fascinating subject. This fourth article concludes my series.

Linear light patterns can focus on either the horizontal or the vertical metrics of a room. A given wall-light technique can create an immersing halo effect, if the interior designer uses concentrated super-bright light at high level that gradually fades out towards the base. Some London Interior Design consultancies specialise in choosing continuous sources, such as a miniature tungsten rack for a soft light or overlapping fluorescents for a cooler light. This is an effect that works very well in contemporary interior designs, where light can be concealed between the wall and the ceiling in a crevice in order to take the place of the traditional cornice.

The best method of illumination for interior designers to use when creating patterns will depend on the interior, and also on the direction of windows (natural light in London can be very seasonal). A smoothly plastered wall can jump into existence with a dappled arc wave from closed-offset down-lighters but if the interior design feature lies in the texture and in the structure or hue of the wall, then a more uniform spray of light will emphasise the walls best perspectives. A splashback tile solution at the rear of a shower or bath is a good interior design choice for the arc wave effect, as is a Venetian blind in a London kitchen. A wood-panelled hall or study is often a compelling interior design feature, and accordingly it would be better lit with an even light that does not detract from the feel of the wood.

Shifting from instant to instant and from a London dawn to a dappled full seasonal moonrise, the impacts of illumination and shadow are phenomena we almost disregard. But Londons top interior designers know that patterns of light can actually transform our emotions with respect to the interior forms that engulf us. By bringing to life walls, floors and ceilings with light-focused interior designs, pattern-making is yet another realm of illumination that can brighten our spaces and enhance our quality of life.

Colour Me Brightly! Understanding Light in Interior Design. Part II: Perforations and Glass - Home - Interior Design

Professional interior designers are expertly trained in the use of lighting features to create breathtaking results. In this four-part series which I call Colour Me Brightly: Understanding Light in Interior Design, I draw on my experience in Londons interior design community to explain this fascinating subject. This second article talks about how to create patterns using illuminated materials.

Any perforated textile, when lit from the back or from the inside, will speckle adjacent forms with pattern, from point strips and pirouettes to constellations and dazzling laser specks. The professional interior designer can use the trim of a window covering to create fabulous banding across a shiny floor covering in the London summer. Some interior design firms love to use ornamental metal lanterns to paint fiery asteroids on walls and furniture, while light projected through a sculpted screen can create magnificent abstract outlines in expressive contemporary interior design schemes. A factory-inspired metal stairwell with perforated treads of the type often reinterpreted for ultra-modern interior design schemes can throw tiny checkmarks of light onto local furniture when exposed to a bright London sky in springtime. A fabulous option with a wooden staircase would require the interior designer to specify a grit-washed tread, to deliberately throw stunning shadows from the rail onto the adjacent wall. Abstract wire-mesh sculptures by local London artists can engender powerful interior design emotions, with the pattern even becoming more important than the object itself! Interior designers can expressively use perspective to distort the pattern from complete realism, when lit front-on, to Baconesque abstract enchantment when illuminated at an acute angle. The same effect can be created by using mirrors to refocus natural light from bay windows in some of the more luxurious London residences.

Glass is another popular tool for patterns. A frosted glass table can be lit from above with a halogen downlighter to cast intricate outlines of reflected light onto the ceiling, and the interior designer can even use positioning to cause refracted light to splash abstract patterns onto the floor underneath the table. I have seen some London Interior Design consultancies deliberately illuminate trophy-style glassware on display shelves from the front so that the etching on the glass throws deep shadows that recapitulate a core design theme.

In the next (third) article in this series called Colour Me Brightly! I will reveal another secret of Londons interior design community: how to create patterns with opaque objects.

The London Interior Design Aesthetic Has Evolved Over Generations - Home - Interior Design

The London Interior Design aesthetic has evolved over generations and has expanded in a multitude of ways over the centuries. Today, a new brand of interior designers from London and from across Europe are starting to approach their profession from a new stance the "sculptural" aesthetic. The broader supporting industry for interior designers has started in recent years to develop fascinatingly imaginative and perceptually thrilling sculptural furniture pieces, illuminators and embellishments. Devolving away from age-old approaches, interior designers are increasingly choosing new textures, new fabrication processes and focusing on the feel of design rather than just the look.

Nowhere is this more apparent than in some of the most innovative commercial interiors. London is a world heritage city for interior design, and recently the UK government invested substantial sums of money in the brand new Terminal 5 at Londons flagship Heathrow International Airport. The architecture is breathtaking thanks to its apparently effortless design. The wave-inspired interior overhangs, accessorised with bowstring arches, serve to create a perceptually gentle wavy sculpture, shored up by spoke-style pointed structures. The designer talks of this design as branched two different types of ceiling window (circles and egg shapes) allow natural light in from the London sky, tastefully illuminating the interior design schemes below.

Londons Heathrow Terminal 5 used bridge construction techniques to create a massive, open-plan structure that truly is an interior designers dream come true. The pure-wave effect is made possible by the use of twenty-two steel box rafters, supported along each side by eleven pairs of massive steel support abutments. The same astonishing 'strand-jacking' technique was used to lift the London Eye from horizontal to vertical and to erect the famous arch of Wembley Stadium. Key interior design elements visually carry the eye from the exterior features to the inner details, initially giving a sense of overwhelming openness and then landing on subtle touches and accessories.

London Heathrows Terminal 5 is just one example of how architecture and interior design are deeply intertwined in modern buildings. It is an expression of todays modern interior design aesthetic, and the positive emotional response is a real boon to busy travelers and their families.

Todays new generation of interior designers continues to forge ahead, seeking a creative spark while at the same time sparking the imaginations of the public we serve. As a member of Londons professional interior design community, I pause to reflect that it is all about living well design has the power to transform what we believe, to open our eyes, and to lift our mental energy.

A Top London Interior Designer, What Do You Feel? - Home - Interior Design

Interior designers sometimes get asked about the hottest colour trends. And this season, we have a confession to make: white is the new black! White interior designs are hip and trendy once again, and in particular those sterile white kitchens are now all the rage. This is particularly true in London, where the dull and gloomy skies can make clients cry out for a touch of bright white interior design freshness.

When you walk into a beautiful white kitchen designed by a top London Interior Designer, what do you feel? Many of us are overwhelmed with all sorts of emotions. We feel carefree and almost as if we are floating on air. The pervasive whiteness brings to mind age-old simplicity, sanitary freshness, contemporary impact, and a roomy, playful outlook. The interior designer will use the white kitchen as a philosophy to evoke a sentiment of purity for food preparation and to empower boundless chef-inspired inspiration.

Many interior design consultancies use white as a fabulous background for the presentation of magical colours and textures. For example, one top trend today is to use deeply varnished wooden joists to contrast with sharply-defined white architectural surrounds. Colourful interior design accents really pop out in this context. Alternatively, the quiet pastels of a London autumn can make for a classic and sophisticated interior design scheme.

The newest London kitchens may be white today, but the true home of the white kitchen has got to be Sweden. Just like London, Stockholm has short days and long nights for much of the year. Homeowners naturally crave interior designs that maximise the amount of reflected internal light in these climates. Swedish interior designers will create themes that are inspired by the widespread use of wintertime candles and sconces.

Returning to less northern cities like London, a simple white kitchen works well with dramatic black accents. A very dark or bold interior design element, used rhythmically in the kitchen, creates balance and interest. Contrast in tone and color is the underpinning of what might otherwise be experienced as a simple or flat kitchen.

Is a white kitchen classic in the sense that it can fit into any interior design? Certainly not! Understanding design context, and especially the architecture of all the elements, the proportions of color and tone, and a true balance with the surrounding interior spaces, are essential for the presentation of a visual logic, a whole. Top London interior designers recognise this, and their efforts have made the white kitchen philosophy a real winner today.

It is such a delight for the interior designer to be able to transform a house into a home - Home - Interior Design

As a professional London Interior Designer, I meet with clients all the time who simply crave more originality and personality in their interior spaces. It is such a delight for the interior designer to be able to transform a house into a home by judicious use of lighting, stencils, photo frames, rugs and frames, to name just a few. Each of the different classes of accessories allows the professional interior designer to lean into a certain style, emotion or personality framework in order to create stunning results. In this article, I will draw on my experience in London s design community to suggest a few great options if youre looking to spruce up your home this winter with some interior designer magic.

LIGHTING. If there are nooks and crannies that just dont get enough light, interior designers may recommend low-voltage illumination to make your interiors look larger and more welcoming. This can also boost your mood perfect for the gloomy and overcast London skies that are all too common this time of year. Some professional interior designers will recommend theatrical lighting moods, so that you can flip between settings to choose either relaxed, or atmospheric and edgy, or task-orientated, all according to your needs.

COLOUR. The hue of the lighting system can substantially impact the overall look of a room. Incandescent filaments are now being phased out across the European Union, and London interior designers are having to rely instead on compact fluorescents or halogens to create custom effects.

SCONCES. Wall-mounted sconces slide over lightbulbs to give a gentle fuzzy glow to a room. Interior designers sometimes combine glass outer sheaths with paper diffusers to create unique effects and soften the overall feel.

ARTWORK. Art is great, but well-lit artwork is even better and interior designers are often specially-trained in how to perfectly illuminate choice pieces of art. Recessed lighting can be a great solution for both photographs and paintings. For sculptures, some interior designers love to use spotlights or feature lighting for more of a museum showcase feel.

INTERIOR DESIGNERS DO OUTSIDE, TOO! Exterior lighting is a great way to make a fabulous first impression for evening dinner guests or invitees to a luxury London soiree at your designer home. Exterior lighting solutions can even cast light indoors, as well... some interior designers like to be really creative and hide exterior lights in bushes or under trees to create natural diffusion before the light trickles in through the windows and makes fabulous patterns on the ceiling or wall.

This bring to an end my mini-series on how London interior designers use accessories, styles and history to create astonishing results.

Student Interior Designers Often Learn About The History of Their Profession - Home - Interior Design

In their training, student interior designers often learn about the history of their profession. This can be a really important way to give context to their subsequent careers. In this article, I will draw on my experience as an interior designer and educator to discuss the history of this exciting field.

The earliest professional interior designers were based in London the British had become intrigued by Egyptian techniques of decorating household objects and wanted the same for themselves. London families became desperate to employ an interior designer to create magical spaces and accessorise their interiors. As interior designers came to be recognised as professionals, they increasingly found a need to draw on history to create fabulous results. This was particularly true when creating designs for historic London mansions or listed buildings they saw historical reflections as a way of preserving the past while also looking to the future.

THE ANCIENT ROMANS

In Ancient Rome, citizens demanded comfort, luxury and wealth. These elements are still important in the work of interior designers across the world today. The lavish decorations, tapestries and iconic stonework today remain as timeless and popular in London as in Tokyo or Sydney. The Ancient Romans adored bespoke furniture and loved quality textiles and expensive fabrics.

MONASTIC TIMES

After the collapse of Roman rule, the church assumed power and largely discouraged the most creative interior designers. Opulent interiors were taken out and interior designers were instructed to install quiet and simple oak panels with dark lines and sharp edges. This influence was felt throughout Europe from London all the way to Florence.

RENAISSANCE AND REVIVAL

The Renaissance saw the emergence of professional French or French-inspired interior designers. It was a new age of elegance and sophistication, which saw the rebuilding of the London Interior Designer community and a fresh take on creative and beautiful living spaces. A palatial feel was rediscovered, and interior designers began to take advantage of new transport axes going through London to the continent and to the Americas in order to rediscover their profession and herald the next generation of design.

This brings to an end my article on how the work of interior designers has changed over the ages. In my next article, Ill reflect on how interior designers use interior fashions for great effect.

Room Lighting Ideas

Our goal in offering this series of articles on Lighting is to give you some concrete advice on how to light a room so effectively that no one notices whether youre using florescent or incandescent lights, track lighting or standing lamps. Theyll notice only that the room feels comfortable, and that they want to come back again.

Consider first the various functions of the lighting you will provide. Most importantly, you need illumination in certain areas of the room for specific tasks, such as reading, writing or playing a musical instrument. This type of lighting is referred to as task lighting.

In addition, you need sufficient overall illumination so people can simply see where theyre going, and so they dont trip over that great furniture that you have carefully placed in the rooms. This general lighting is referred to as ambient lighting, which is the overall lighting that permeates the entire room.

Of course, its hard to separate the function of the lighting from the function of the room, and the two should work together. For example, if the function of a home study is to provide a place for reading, working on the computer, and sitting at a desk, you want to have lighting that will help with those functions; youd want some kind of soft ambient lighting, with reading lamps strategically placed.

Almost all interior lighting designs will involve the use of artificial illumination. These electrically-powered fixtures produce light via incandescent bulbs, fluorescents, or LEDs (light emitting diodes). Compact fluorescent bulbs have gained immense popularity as an easy way to save on energy consumption and costs, since they install just like traditional light bulbs. Common types of lighting applications include:

Lighting plays a big part in the usefulness and mood of a room. An interior design lighting tip for a space that really shines is to ensure that all three lighting levels are covered. Illumination is classified as one of the following:

Next, lets look at the types of lamps. First, in talking about types of lamps were not talking that thing sitting on your desk or standing behind your easy chair. What you and I call a lamp, meaning a table lamp, or a chandelier, or a floor lamp, is referred to in the world of interior design as a fixture, and the word lamp is used to refer to the bulb.

There are two basic types of lamps incandescent and fluorescent. Each has particular advantages and disadvantages.

Incandescent lamps are the ones that youre most accustomed to seeing used in residential lighting, and yet they have really only one major advantage over fluorescent lamps: the light they produce has a warm cast that is soft, natural, and flattering to skin tones. Tips for Online but Local Marketing - Marketing - Marketing Tips

Attracting people to your website is good. Marketing is an essential part of achieving online success. But if you're not marketing to the right people, your efforts will be for naught. Here are some tips to help you target your local market with your marketing efforts:

1. Long Tail Keywords

Use long tail keywords in your search engine optimisation campaigns. These phrases refer to local places and niche specialties in many cases and can help you target your local demographic, rather than fight with the much larger competition base trying to rank for short tail keywords. A good example of this is to try to rank for Chesire pizza parlour, rather than pizza or UK marketing consultancy firm rather than "marketing". As your competition narrows, your target customer / prospect has more of a chance of finding the thing they seek.

2. Know Your Competition

Understanding who you're up against in the world of online marketing can help you be more appealing to your target market. If you're a restaurant, you can try to appeal to your local area and try to appear to your biggest competitor's clients as well. Understanding what your competition may not do well could help you surpass them.

3. Local Directories

Getting listed in local directories does several things for you. It helps people browsing local directories find you and it helps search engines connect the dots between your geographical area, your business niche, and your target customers. Directory submissions, particularly when targeted by local geographical area and by niche, can help you improve targeted traffic levels and organic SEO.

4. Lead Capture

Local marketing should be about more than waving at your website visitors when they arrive. Try to capture those leads through permission marketing techniques or via a sales pipeline with autoresponder software, for instance. Not only can you work on turning visitors into real customers but if they're local, this could help you with local referrals as well. There are many things you can do to slowly increase your market share in your area!

5. Social Marketing

Social marketing is great for local businesses. They can find people to follow based on geographical area, advertise to their customers, use data mining techniques to learn more about their audience, niche, and competition, and use it to build their brand and strengthen their relationships. If you're not using social marketing tools such as Twitter and Facebook, you could be missing out!

Local marketing techniques can help you grow your business substantially. And if you need help there are consultants who could provide you with a customised strategy.

Local SEO First Page of Google local Marketing for Local Business - Business - Small Business

What is Local S.E.O. and how can it Help Your Local Business?

How can local S.E.O. (search engine optimization) help local business owners get onto the first page of Google?

Here's the good news, unlike a brick and mortar business where it's very difficult to research your competition, with Internet marketing for local business it is reasonably easy to carry out some research to find out if you stand a chance to beat your local competition.

This is particularly true for local marketing, where the competition in the local areas is very weak, not only are local business owners not clued up on Internet marketing, they tend to avoid it.

Most people nowadays do look for local services and products on the internet, if you think about it; you probably look on the Internet, for things that you are looking for, so why should you think that people are still looking in the newspapers and Yellow pages for your services.

Local S.E.O. is finding out what people type into Google's search bar to find your services and products, and Google has a free tool that you can use to find this out, you can find it by typing into your browser, Google free keyword tool.

Now type in a word or phrase that best describes your business, and click on search, you will then see how many searches a month are made, and an indication of how much competition there is for that phrase.

Google will even present you with suggestions of other phrases that people type in, and again it will give you the amount of searches, and an indication of the amount of competitors for that phrase.

You should be looking for a phrase that has a lot of searches but not much competition, spend some time on this to get the idea of how this works, and to find the best keyword phrases, you will need several in order to build your local website, and to get it to come up on the first page of Google for quite a few search terms.

It is important that you include your location within your titles and website address, to localize your website and business listings with the local business listings, and your Google places listing, this will help your customers find you.

I don't want to go into too much detail in this article, but I hope that you are starting to get the idea, the point is that most businesses that do actually have a local business website, do not do this properly, they simply pay a website designer to build a website for them, and then call their business Joe Blogs plumbers or something similar, and wonder why they are not getting anywhere with their website.

The point that I am making here is that, there is a real possibility that any business that is prepared to take local S.E.O. and local Internet marketing seriously, have the work properly carried out, and that they realize that marketing locally is needed on a continual basis, can easily dominate their local area.

There are all the tools available, and with local S.E.O. and some help from Google places (Free local business listings) and local business directories, all of which should be optimized, that their local business will get on the first page of Google, and Google places in their local area, and leave their competitors at the starting gate, wondering how you have done it.

I do hope that you have found this article interesting and informative, if so please feel free to share it with your friends (but not your competitors) click the like or Google's new +1 button, as well as comment on it.

Capture the Market with Low Cost Local Marketing - Marketing

For businesses looking to increase their share of the market, there are a couple of simple and straightforward strategies to improving local marketing, without breaking the bank. In fact, most small to medium sized businesses must become adept at maximizing limited budgets. This means increasing the company's identity with marketing approaches that lower the costs of finding customers. So, given the challenge of local business marketing, how can businesses achieve a more relevant position in their market without exceeding their budget? More importantly, what are the most proactive forms of local marketing that focus the company's message directly to potential customers?

Flyers and Leaflet Drops

One of the more common marketing approaches is to use flyers and leaflet drops, where customers are handed a flyer in person, or a set of company flyers and leaflets are delivered by mail or courier. Leaflet drops have been a mainstay of local marketing approaches for decades. They offer companies a simple solution to getting their message out to customers. Perhaps the greatest adaption of flyers and leaflet drops is when a restaurant hands them out at lunch to potential customers walking by.

Becoming a Member of the Town's Chamber of Commerce

Most potential customers will likely look for products and services through their local town's chamber of commerce website or blog. Securing a link on a chamber of commerce website or blog is an inexpensive way to promote a local business. Other tips include securing links on common or complementary businesses in the same area. However, don't stop at securing a link. Companies that are members of a town's chamber of commerce, or consumer advocacy group, are able to gain immediate recognition in their market.

Radio Advertisements and Fundraisers

One extremely effective way to promote a local business is to advertise on a local radio station, and or hold a fundraiser and event promotion to benefit a local charity or community need. This is a proactive approach to local marketing that allows companies to get up front and personal with their community, its people and potential customers. It showcases the company's willingness to become active participants in addressing the needs and concerns of the community, while promoting the business at the same time. Inviting a local radio station to broadcast from the company's location is an inexpensive and impactful way to reach potential customers.

When it comes to local marketing it's always best to keep it simple and straightforward. Companies looking at increasing their presence in their local market need not spend lavishly to produce results. Consider these three as inexpensive marketing strategies to promote a local business.

Local Marketing - Taking Advantage of Localized Listing - Internet

Local marketing is marketing online while targeting your local market. Although it does not necessarily means that your online campaign is strictly limited to local viewership, it only means that you are taking advantage of a local listing being provided by websites that are now providing local directories to help their users fine-tune their searches.Ideally, local marketing is the best way to find more relevant results. By using these localized directories, users are getting all the benefits as search engines are being able to provide them a more marginalized search results. Here is how local marketing works. By providing these local directories your online information, they will make a profile of whatever detail you provided them. Normally, you need to provide them with the information about your business, your product, physical location, owners, etc. You have to give them everything there is about you. The initial part is somehow tedious as there will be long application form that you will need to fill out.Once you have done everything on your end, you can now be easily searched in the organic search engines. Let say, you are selling cakes in San Diego, California. If a user types cake on a search engine, the search engine will profile the user and basing on her profile will make a suggestion that is closest to the user. If the user happens to be from San Diego, your store will be among the results that will be provided for her. If she types Frosted Cake and you had it on your profile, and none of your competitor has it, your company will be the first result on the list that will be generated regarding the search. This is the reason why you need to provide everything there is about your company. While it may be exhausting having to include every tiny bit about your company, it will help a lot in your local marketing. It may be tad difficult at first, but the result will be great. Awareness regarding your company will be better through this.L ocal marketing is a great strategy being provided by local directories. With Yellow Pages not being able to compete with online directories, taking advantage of these directories can be very beneficial to your online marketing campaign. Since a lot of people are actually using the internet as their primary source of information, your company will have the best position if your local internet marketing campaign kicks off.

At Work Home Business

I am professional writer blogger and having expertise in writing articles based on my own research in various sectors of Internet.

There is still a lot of money to be made in niche affiliate marketing. Don't let all the naysayers fool you. Yes, it can be extremely competitive, and in some markets completely oversaturated (good luck running a mortgage or credit affiliate website). What you need to do is rise above the noise and set yourself apart from the rest. Luckily most of the web is garbage - you can do much better than that. Just follow these steps and you'll be well on your way to niche affiliate marketing success.

Affiliate Marketing Program which allows people to signup and get several almost 30 ready to use money making websites plus the membership of their affiliate program. Now this website is offering two options first one is Free and second is Paid. Free membership will allow to get your affiliate link, sub domain of your choice on their main domain and still you would be able to promote and earn the money, but for your own domain, own hosting and making changes in your websites you have to become a paid member.

I signed up this program in June 2010 and I did not believe it was good but after following their instructions and watching step by step video tutorials and utilized provided marketing material, after 13 days I earned my first commission! Yes I was so excited and that encouraged me to continue with this affiliate program, finally after 2 months I had made 11 commissions out of it 3 commissions ($120) and plus the sign up bonus ($100) payment I got through PayPal on 25th August 2010.

Still there are 8 more pending commissions ($400) and I believe I will get this amount next month, as there is a cycle of commission approval every month. During this period I contacted them several times and they replied me very next day. I invested ($8.9 + $97) and I earned ($220 + $400), so totally worth it, and I'm sure that when I can have the time for it, I'll do it and will earn a lot more than what I already did!

Well I just wanted to tell you my experience, because if there are some people who didn't make it, I am a part of the ones who didn't give up and could get money with this program! I hope it can work for you too! You just need to have a great quality of time and concentration upon the goals you want to reach.

They sell a little merchandise to a few close friends and relations. Then, retire before giving the chance to learn the basics of business success. "I simply am not a businessman born!" say sometimes.

Nobody is born a businessman, as nobody is born doctor or lawyer. To be successful in any profession you must learn not only basic skills but also how to apply these techniques. If you can be your own boss and discipline to do what must be done must be done when the Internet marketing offers an unusual opportunity to profit.

THE TEN STEPS

3. SE enthusiastic. The enthusiasm is the "fuel" that makes high-octane business move. Enthusiasm generates its own energy. energy and good health are synonymous with busy people, happy people who are achieving their goals.

4. ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE MAGIC WORD IN THE BUSINESS IS "ASK." In the Internet marketing does not have to wait for the business come to you. You create your own business by asking him. Calls for business, then close sales. Requests referred to, then you'll always have a list full of potential customers. Be calm, but firmly aggressive.

5. HOLD THE NO. Note that the "no" is not personal. In business, and perhaps elsewhere, the law of averages works. Each "no" you closer to a "yes." Make your follow-ratios. Will help you improve your techniques. They get ten "no" for each "yes"? Is your ratio five to one? Remember, "if" is your gain.

He also recalled that "no" does not necessarily mean "no." Sometimes a "no" is simply a "high, give me time to think." Can be a form to request more information about your product or service. What you're really buying is customer safety. Asegrale help with your attitude and your complete honesty, you want the best for him. Be more inclined to respect you and do business with you.

Since bank statements show an accurate record of all money collected, and business expenses can be verified by check debited, record keeping was simple and accurate. All transactions except a few "spot" can be taken directly from the statements of the bank.

Money saved regularly and put at interest, soon develops a second income in addition to money earned. A long-term goal, realistically, is to retire and live off the interest income from savings.

Could mean financial security for you too? If so, ask yourself the following:

I'm honest ... I really like people ... I'm willing to learn ... I look forward to working ... I can be my own boss?

If your answer is "yes," find a good product for the Internet market, one that you like, one that meets the needs of a lot of people and go to work for yourself! You can transform your dreams into reality.

Those who only know one or two facts about working, home, business can be confused by misleading information. The best way to help those who are misled is to gently correct them with the truths you're learning here.

Jeep Gladiator Concept Car 2005

Why concept cars? For obvious reasons - to get a visible, tangible look at a design before production so its feel can be evaluated, possible problems can be foreseen, and, for concept cars shown to the public, so reactions of non-gear heads can be judged.

In testing particular ideas concepts are best - for example, they could be a test bed for exterior and interior colors and materials, new controls and dashboard layouts, variations on packaging, etc.

Driving concept cars is a wonderful experience knowing you have driven a future car first hand. Designs that you can only see in futuristic movies become suddenly real and many are exaggerated versions of what will actually appear.

How To Choose Good Floor Mats For Your Car

If you are in the market for good floor mats for your car, consider the after market options instead of those available for purchase through your automobile dealership. In most instances, these after market additions are much cheaper than those items sold directly through your automobile dealership and they have more options for quality products. Typically, there are many different manufacturers of after market accessories for cars, including floor mats that make products specific for different makes and models of cars. For this reason, you are sure to find a floor mat the best fits the exact dimension of your car without having to go through the dealership.

For starters, look to a well constructed floor mat that properly fits into your vehicle. Choosing a floor mat that is too small will not properly protect the floorboard, while choosing a floor mat too large can potentially cause a slipping hazard when entering or exiting the vehicle, or even cause the driver to have an accident if the mat becomes bunched underneath the pedals. Be sure to know the make and model of your car and look to a manufacturer that uses this information in their product development.

Next, choose a floor mat out of an appropriate material. Generally, the choices range between floor mats made of carpet and those made of rubber. If you are looking for style, then choose a carpeted floor mat, but ensure the mat has a stain resistant coating like StainMaster or a similar protective product. Also, choose a carpet color that matches or coordinates well with the interior of your vehicle. Choose a rubber floor mat for hauling or for easy clean up. Especially for truck beds and trunks, having a rubber floor mat can prevent your load from moving when the car breaks or accelerates.

Finally, choose a floor mat that best goes with the interior of your car. The car customization field has grown to dramatic proportions, so consider choosing a mat that is customized to fit your style. These customized mats can include everything from your name to the number of your favorite race car driver so that your car is unique and individual. For example, have a carpeted floor mat embroidered with a specific design or some other customized element to make your vehicle stand out from the rest of the crowd. Also along this customizable line, most manufacturers produce floor mats in a wide variety of colors that can match or coordinate well with the interior of your car and allow you to create a specific look. Whatever your needs and desired look, be sure to first ensure your floor mats are made of high quality materials that will hold up to the wear and tear of constant use and periodical cleaning.

Bentley Versus Aston

Prestige has forever been Bentley's well-deserved reputation for building automobiles with unmatched creature comforts and incomparable style. Even with a change of ownership and remarkable design changes, Bentley's style and comfort departments remain steadfast. But you may need slow-mo to see those attributes found in Bentley's Continental GT. This sports coupe-with its W 12, 6-liter turbocharged, 500 horsepower engine-is no mere GT poser. It's the real deal.

Bentley's four-door sedans seemingly have enough cabin space to comfortably accommodate a classical quartet; but this two-door sports coupe, by comparison, is sleek and trim. The GT's creature comforts are nonetheless bountiful as the Continental's interior comes in nine, exotic, natural-wood trims. Although you'll need to leave the quartet at home, the robust entertainment center comes standard with a six-disc CD changer, GPS navigational aid, telephone pre-wiring, and voice-activated controls for the telephone. The seats are sumptuous with supple leather, offering 14 separate adjustments, including lumbar support and power memory.

In balancing its swiftness, the Continental GT rides on five-spoke, 19-inch, painted alloy wheels. The glide in the ride stems from an adaptive-variable suspension with automatic load leveling, a front independent, double-wishbone suspension with air springs and a rear stabilizer bar.

Yes, the Continental GT is definitely a ramped-up rider compared to Bentley's revered, classic four-door sedans. Distinctively it retains the lavish qualities expected of a Bentley, but you will have to focus faster to take it all in.

The British aren't coming! They are already back and riding high with the Aston Martin DB9 in its royal fleet. The DB9 is a lightweight only on the scale, weighing in nearly 1,500 pounds lighter than the formidable Bentley Continental GT. However, when it comes to the momentous performance/decadence ratio demands of drivers in this GT fraternity, the DB9 metes out numbers that merit its champion-level status. The overseer of the 911 Turbo, Dr. Ulhrich Bev, Aston Martin's CEO, delivers terrifically with a bevy of amenities that make the DB9 menacingly mouthwatering.

The DB9's frame is a revolutionary VH(vertical/horizontal) aluminum-bonded platform, which provides maximum rigidity, minimal weight and a perfect 50/50 weight balance. Combine that with a double-wishbone suspension and a 450 horsepower,6.0-liter V 12 engine, it is no problem with the DB9 going from zero to 60 mph in less than five seconds. This roadster ramps out at top speed of 186 mph shortly thereafter. The six-speed, auto-manual transmission operates smoothly with magnesium paddle shifters that infuse the fluid feel of a true manual transmission. And the low-RPM responsiveness is nothing short of magnificent.

Amenities come in droves on this tabula rasa, as customers are encouraged to take full advantage ofAston Martin's personalization program. Exterior paint options are limitless. The interior consists of handcrafted, stitched leather seats, and the door and interior trim come in exotic walnut, mahogany or bamboo. There is also a Linn 950-watt, Dolby Pro Logic II audio-system option to boot.

What is even better is that Dr. Bev promises that this is only the beginning of what promises to be the new British invasion!

A Subjective Insight Of The Future Automobile

The future car, lets say a 2025 model will be a very different machine to its present day Grandfather. They will be packed with computers and safety devices ensuring that not even a stunt driver can crash, and they will run on carbon dioxide and emit strawberry scented oxygen. Well they might.

Predictions of future vehicles are usually wildly inaccurate, by now we should all have space programs to rival NASA based out of our backyard. However some of the automobile related cutting edge technology emerging now may well make it into production models of the future. But how much of this technology will be needed or even wanted? Car design of the present is already influenced by politicians, bureaucrats, health and safety regulations and emissions regulations and the stunning concept seen at the motorshow emerges into the world as a 1.0 litre shopping cart, but at least its legal.

Personally I like the idea of fuel efficient hybrid cars, and fuel cell cars emitting nothing but water. However, like most enthusiasts I also like powerful loud convertibles with with the ability to snap a vertabrae at 10 paces. A sensible mix therefore is required and this will be the job entrusted to car designers and engineers of the future, to make a politically correct car that is also desirable.

Another immenent problem facing designers of the future is coming up with styling ideas that are fresh and new. Some of the more recent concepts are certainly striking but not necessarily beautiful in the classic sense of the word. But if there is one thing the automobile industry is good at that is innovation, and I for one am confident that radical and extreme concepts never before imagined will continue to appear at motorshows around the world.

Computer technology has already taken a firm hold of the automobile and the modern driver is less and less responsible for the actions of their vehicle, soon crash victims will try to sue the electronics companies for accidents they caused because their computer system failed to brake the car even though they were fast asleep at the wheel on a three lane highway. Until you have automation of every single vehicle on every single road computer driven cars are just not feasible, in my mind there are just far too many on-the-road variables, with all the logic in the world you cannot beat a brain. Now computer assisted driving is already available in certain Mercedes models which brake for you if your not looking where your going and your too close to the car in front, but there is still a driver in control of the car, or is there. What if for some reason you wanted to get closer to the car in front, you needed to get closer to the car, if you didn't get closer to the car some thing terrible would happen to civilization. Where do you draw the line with vehicle automation?

In advanced cities of the future CCTV will be so prevalent that visible crimes such as car theft are all but wiped out, but that still won't stop the determined thief. GPS (Global Positioning System) units fitted as standard to all new automobiles will be able to track any vehicle at anytime anywhere, this technology is already common but more widespread use is inevitable. In the UK the government is already talking about fitting GPS to charge motorists depending on what road they travel on and at what times to cut spiraling congestion. This technology coupled with an improved mobile phone and bluetooth network can be used to track and recover stolen vehicles. When the vehicle is found to be stolen a call can be made which shuts down the engine of the car. At the same time a call is sent out which alerts available nearby police, by using the GPS installed in both the stolen car and the police car officers can track the car even if they cannot see it. The police will also have much more insight into a vehicles record when out on patrol, using bluetooth technology a police car can tail a vehicle and receive information on the owner, the current driver and their driving history, and even find out recent top speed and acceleration figures. Of course who wants that, you think you've just had a fun little blast on your favorite bit of road you get pulled over five miles later and the officer gives you a speeding ticket for something he didn't see. But if this technology is mandatory then what choice do you have.

Access to future automobiles may be very different to the keys of today, push button code entry and keycard systems where the key doesn't even leave you pocket, already available, will become common place. You hear the term keyless entry but it still uses a remote control attached to a key which is then used to start the car. Biometrics which are available on some computer systems and use fingerprinting as a password could be an effective alternative to the key, you could even program it for members of your family deciding between access only for the children or access and drive functions for those with licenses. However I belive it will be some time before this is the only means of vehicle entry or start up, what if you are lending your car to a friend and you cannot be present to allow start up.

Multimedia systems will continue to develop in cars until the point where the "are we there yet" phrase develops into "can we stay here". Manufacturers are continuing to cram more and more video screens into increasingly ingenious places providing a rolling cinematic Dolby 7.0 surround sound experience. DVDs are going to go the way of the VCR with hard disk recording of video being the dominant power much as MP3s are killing off CDs. This MP4 technology will save space in the car and allow for far more footage to be kept on board. Improvements in wireless Internet connections could mean that the larger roads can support Internet capable vehicles and constantly inform the driver with up to date relevant road information. A screen in the dash can display live images to show traffic reports and also predict traffic jams by using the GPS systems in all vehicles to show areas where vehicles have been stopped or are congested, and then supply alternate routes. The sound systems of cars will also improve and become more personalised for the various passengers, with headphone sockets and multiple sound outlets, there might be four different radio stations that can be played at once through the different jacks, and a variety of MP3s that can be played at once.

Passenger safety is already a priority for modern day car manufacturers and this will only increase in importance into the future. The widespread use of airbags will increase, the side impact protection airbags featured in some models have proved to be extremely effective in saving lives, more research and better positioning will continue to improve their performance and reliability. Airbags at the moment can only be deployed once so in a multiple collision crash their effectiveness is voided after the first impact, future airbag systems however may take this into consideration and incorporate multiple single use airbags in one position or reusable airbags which can be inflated several times. Some manufacturers use a dynamic headrest in some high-spec models, these move forward during a collision to stop the head snapping back quite so far and reducing the chance of spinal injury (whiplash.

It has been found that a vehicles bumper and frame height is a very important factor when it comes to safety during a collision, if a vehicle has bumper which is too high it can override the bumper of the other vehicle and plough directly into the passenger compartment putting the occupants at severe risk. Accidents like this usually occur when a average size car collides with a truck or SUV, this mismatch can be avoided by having adjustable ride heights on the larger vehicles, when they are on a smooth road lowering the vehicle to a suitable height would reduce the dangers normally associated with these sorts of collision, as a by product this would also reduce the top heavy nature of trucks and SUVs and rollover accidents could be avoided.

Sensors will be increasingly responsible for predicting and safeguarding against avoidable accidents. Sensors will monitor the road surface scanning for black ice and hazardous conditions, this information will then be displayed to the driver and the vehicle may take appropriate steps to improve traction thus reducing the chance of an accident. The information gathered may also be relayed to a central road monitoring network which can inform other motorists of changing weather conditions, in effect every vehicle would become a roving weather station.

Sensors will also monitor the cars position on the road and if the vehicle is found to be straying from the road or traffic lane an alarm would sound this feature is already found on the Citroen C4 amongst others. Sensors could also monitor the drivers well-being, imaging sensors would track eye movement and if the eyes close for more than a few seconds an alarm would sound to alert the driver. Audi uses sensors on its new A6 which monitor for wet conditions, if found the BOSCH brakes are applied intermittently to wipe off the water and ensure good contact when they are needed, the pressure applied in this process is so slight the driver does not notice. Improved night vision and spatial awareness would help cut down on night time crashes which account for half the road related fatalities each year even though only a quarter of all driving occurs at night. Cadillac already includes infrared night vision as an option on some of its more desirable models, infrared vision do es not see light it sees heat and the warmer an object is the more it stand out on the screen. The screen is a heads up display projected onto the windscreen infront of the drivers line of sight allowing the driver to see the real world and also the digital projection. Honda has a similar system with the added ability to identify objects and pick out pedestrians and digitally highlight those which are likely to step into the vehicles path and then emit an audible warning.

New materials are constantly brought into the automotive field, in 2005 Chrysler Daimler began using biological composite materials made from coconut, sisal, jute and other plants. This biological material is used mostly on the interior of the car and finds its way into seat cushions, seat backs, underfloor body panels and interior door panels. One of the benefits of using these biological compounds is that they can be recycled and reused and the manufacturing process involved is far more environmentally friendly than that of conventional synthetic compounds. Ceramics first used in braking by Porsche are becoming increasingly popular, although still very expensive limiting them to exclusive vehicles. The benefits of using ceramics is their high tolerance to intense heat making them suitable for high performance vehicles, and where the heavy use of the brakes is needed regularly. Their ability to perform under these extremes help reduce the brake fade associated with exess ive use and high temperatures. Materials first such as carbon fibre and carbon kevlar first used on race cars and famed for their high strength and lightweight properties have now filtered down to the production car level, mainly in high-end vehicles but in due time these composites will begin to appear in the average car, cutting weight and increasing fuel economy whilst maintaining structural rigidity.

In the future car designers will have to explore new themes and find alternative influences for their designs. In an effort to catch peoples eye the designs will have to be increasingly bold and brash often sacrificing the aesthetic balance of the design in attempt to be different in an increasingly 'done before' market. This is not to say all designs are going to be hideous, just some. Another influence to exterior design will be made by law as stricter pedestrian protection laws are enforced requiring the front ends of cars to be 'softer', this thinking has already been introduced on some models, overall though it is difficult to project how this will ultimately affect the face of car design. With the increased use of alternative fuel sources such as the hydrogen fuel cell and hydrogen combustion engine, vehicle bodies may begin reflect the green nature of their power. However I belive this to be a mistake. The Honda Insight Hybrid might have been more of a success had it not been utterly repulsive, people were already wary of its power source and to then make them vomit in disgust at its styling is just not intelligent. Why do all the eco-friendly cars look like a 60's psychedelic nightmare, why can't they just look like a decent concept car with an alternative engine. Things seem to be improving however and BMW's H2R is an undeniably stunning vehicle if somewhat impractical. And hybrid technology is finding its way into mainstream prodution vehicles as an optional power source.

The interior of vehicles will also change, becoming more user friendly and personalised. Ergonomically positioned controls and lumbar support seats with adjustable everything will come as standard to increase driver and passenger comfort and reduce chronic pain and discomfort. Customisable and personalised interior space will also become desirable features on the future automobile. Just as you swap mobile phone covers an entire dash could be swapped to match your mood, if your a little bigger than average why not fit an XXL seat in two easy steps, the possibilities will be endless in order to cater for an increasingly demanding consumer.

Alternative power sources for vehicles are becoming ever more popular. Government incentives will eventually force all but the super rich into environmentally friendly cars, no problem, by then fuel cell cars will be just as rapid as their fossil fuel counterparts but with none of the mess or stench. However it may take some convincing to get a 'petrol head' to put down his piston and pick up a proton exchange membrane cathode, its just not the same is it. Eventually common conventional fuel cars will become classics and extremely sought after by collectors, but not for a long long time.
