Marketing Sales Job FAQ

Am i not ambitious ample or am i underachieving already?
I am 27 i have a management scope and i am currently the manager of a fashion shop. This is not what i dreamed of doing when i be slaving away to complete the degree and as i see my staff (mostly students) finishing uni and going into 'real jobs' i consistency badly left aft! My parents already think im mad to work surrounded by a shop and I often feel ashamed to read out where i work. What the hell are my options? is it too belatedly to get a real mission? or do i already have a real mission? I love my shop and the girls i work with but im just worried that im noit acheiving adjectives im capable of. pls help and dont cogitate im a nut case

Am I on the right track?
So 8 months ago I took my first "real" job after college, as an "Account Manager" for a Health Insurance company. My job entail conducting presentations for promoting new products to employers, ans wering member of staff questions at meetings about their coverage, getting rates signed, and solving problems mid-year. I travel around a ton and I guess I view it as good experience. Where I become demoralized is the repay. The company pays me 35,000 and the bonus is so ambiguous because their numbers are down. Does my experience sound like it will backing me in the future? Should I expect to fashion more than 35k in sales/marketing/training? Thanks :)

Am I qualified for a Marketing Job?
I'll be graduating from Texas A&M University in approximately a year and a partly. My major is Agriculture Leadership & Development with an inflection area and minor in Economics. I own experience as an Executive Director of fundraising for a Student organization and have worked as an Information and Technology Technician going on 3 years. My key highly stresses Leadership development and self able to maximize the use of the resources you are provi ded with. I love Marketing and thats what I want to do and find my key will be extremely useful being a part of a set of a marketing team. However, I am afraid that I won't be able to ground a job because I dont have a Marketing or notably related major. I would like to know your insight and possibly some proposal. Thank You.

Am i qualified to become a pharmaceutical representative?
im 21. i just graduated next to a bachelors in psychology and a major within women studies from an accredited university. i have no sale experience. i graduated with a 3.57 gpa. do you presume that a company looking for a pharmaceutical representative would hire me? please post your thoughts. ive done my research but would like to see what others think---hopefully someone within the industry.

Am I the singular one who get tons of sale employment offer from monster etc?
Like most people I have hold an account on moster but the o nly opportunity offers I ever get are sale jobs and I have no sale experience. Just wondered if I was the only one.

I refinish wood and touch up furniture, walls, boats, etc. How much should I be charging clients? I have had 98% of my work approved.

Am I wasting my time trying to take into Pfizer lacking concrete sale experience and results on my resume?
I want to work for Pfizer yet I tried to get into the company a couple of years ago next to just a phone interview and did not make it chronological that. I have a 4year degree contained by Marketing , but no real concrete documented sales experience, only customer service with promoting products and servcies, but no hard selling. Am I wasting my time, do they merely hire people with SALES experience? Thank you

Am i wrong?
hi everyone, i have not worked for a few years due to personal family prob lems etc, a month ago i get a new fulltime job within a supermarket. at my interview they asked me if i could work saturdays, i told them no as i have prior long term commitments, they said thats fine. i notice that on my contract they had put me in from 9 to 6 on saturdays, i go to my superviser and told him, he told me to go and talk to my other supervisor who would sort it out for me. the second supervisor told me i could work on my afternoon off (tuesday) and take saturdays past its sell-by date, that way i would still be working the 39 hours per week, i asked him if i needed to tell anyone else apart from him in the order of this, he said no he would sort it all out. anyway, last firday i be called into my managers bureau, he wanted me to explain the unatharized absences i have taken (saturdays), i told him what my supervisor had told me, manager told me he shouldnt own told me that would be ok, now i have to dawdle til the end of next week as simply after talking to me my supervisor took 2 weeks off work, supervisor wants to talk to him, consequently i have to have disiplinary handling and they said they might not even pay me as i didnt work my contract even though i worked my days off. what do i do in a minute? manager said it doesnt look good for me as im a foreign starter, i have been looking for a clean job, but the way i see it im getting contained by trouble for doing what my supervisor told me was ok?

i am totally burnt out from my sales profession 's elling and designing kitchen' what i want to do is make a shift in the sale world...but i need to know of a much better place than just 'monster' because those places are for 1st time job...or for failures who continually need to carry into a 1st place position cause they are so terrible at it... what i necessitate is somekind of info to find myself a 'hot' job...something that you can live off of, not something that only pays the bills... i am sry if i sound at all 'big on myself' but my expirience and ability is worth something, and that something is certainly more than a charge at a mall or a job callin ancestors to switch phone companies and stuff! ps..incase it helps i live in the chicagoland nouns...

An increase within material estate employment postings? What does that be going to?
I'm wondering if anyone knows why there have been an increase in TRUE estate job postings even though there is a decline contained by real estate being so ld. Is it simply because the tangible estate agents have left their job for something better, or are the real estate companies hiring more people to prepare for the emergency they foresee later, or something else I'm overlooking. And I`m alive, physically at least; although as a woman and as a Jew I seem to be materially invisible. Just pilfer what`s mine! First I wrote about Buenos Aires in `Harpers Bazaar` and LW followed beside `Evita`. Then I wrote a biography of Hollywood aka Marilyn Monroe and he followed with `Sunset Boulevard`. I work in sales and I product 64k a year, what would I have to bring in to cover my take-home pay including overhead? My boss said I would have to bring in 1.5 million a year to cover that.

I read the postings here. The posting shows you guys received a job offer from Top Healthcare. Guess what! I received a opportunity offer that says exactly like peas in a pod as what was posted here except that the name of the company is different. It's "Sport Healthcare". The address and the phone numbers are indistinguishable except for the person who's writing me says she is Rosa Williamson. She even have her picture attached. Have you guys also received this kind of email from Sport healthcare? I need your thoughts. Thanks!

I made a big career change a few months ago--I started designing for an trailer agency--only to be laid off less than a year latter because the company had financial trouble. I want to continue to work contained by this industry even though I was damn good at what I did previously, but looking at my rsum gives you the impression that I didn't ultimate long at the only place where I've have direct experience doing what I want to continue to do. Hi guys! I just became an Avon Sales Rep at the lapse of July and it's been great so far. I've aquired many customers. Some who command almost every campaign and some who order for a couple campaign then stop. Anyways, I probably make aroun d $60 a month of PROFIT from Avon. I average in the region of $30 per campaign. (Of course it was route different during the holidays) I was just wondering HOW MUCH PROFIT DO YOU MAKE EACH CAMPAIGN?

Any career hunters surrounded by SoCal come across like mad of marketing/ad agencies hiring reps for verizon fios?
I've applied to several marketing firms and they all seem compatible to one another in that they are looking for sales society for face to face sale of verizon's products...I've been to two of these interviews, one in Orange county, another within downtown la and have been contacted by others which appear just like the previous two. Their assignment postings were listed on Monster and I applied to them but I don't know if its worth going spinal column to the second interview. Has anyone else been? Is it worth it? The first interview only take about 5 minutes and then you are asked to come support for an all day interview thingy persistent 8 hours. Something just seems fishy to me...
